"Finally we get to go see the kids!" Izuku exclaimed, Bakugo at his side as he walked out of the hospital.
They said his vitals were fine again and the blackened skin on his chest wasn't getting any bigger. Which also meant it wasn't getting any smaller either. His heart was in good condition and his body too and he wouldn't need another check-up until Wednesday.
They would space out the appointments more when they fully knew how Izuku's body handled it all.
"Yeah, yeah....How long are you wanting to be there for?" Bakugo asked Midoriya. They were walking side by side down the sidewalk towards the park. Katsuki thinking it would be a good idea to get a walk in for them both, not just Izuku.
"As long as the kids want me there for." Izuku said happily, a small pep in his step.
"Slow down, Deku. I said we were walking, not jogging."
"I am walking."
"Deku, that's fucking skipping!" Bakugo shouted, making Deku laugh, yet he didn't stop. Bakugo would scoff and cross his arms over his chest, speeding up his pace a bit to keep up with the smaller greenette.
"Ooh! I see the park!" Izuku sung excitedly, hopping around in a tiny circle as he waited for Bakugo to catch up.
"Dumbass.." Bakugo muttered under his breath and finally caught up. In the distance, there were kids swinging on swings and going down slides. Some even on the spinning one. Bakugo never understood why kids enjoyed being dizzy. Izuku kept pace beside Bakugo this time until they got there.
They hadn't even crossed the road yet and a little kid screamed, "It's Deku!" running up to the edge of the sidewalk.
Izuku quickly ran across when the light flashed a green waking man, and he picked up the kid. "Hey!" He said happily. Bakugo trailed behind slowly, observing. "How's everything been, kiddo?" Izuku asked the boy. He had beautiful golden eyes and blue hair. He was about six years old.
"I was so worried you weren't coming back!" The boy cried, tears in his eyes. "You haven't been coming the past two Sunday's.....And we saw on the news.." he muttered and hugged Izuku's shoulders. "I thought you were gone!" Crying frantically.
A frown tugged at Izuku's lips and he held the smaller close. Another kid, smaller than the one he was holding, around four years old, came up and hugged his leg. "No, buddy, I'm not gone.." He whispered, "A bully just hit me, is all." Izuku said in a hushed tone. The little boy nodding in understanding.
"Alright, let's get you two inside the playground.." Izuku whispered, rubbing the six year olds back and ushering the tinier one into the small rocks again. Other kids noticed once they saw him enter the actual park.
"Deku's back!" A little girl said happily.
"Deku?! Where?" Another one came up from the play ground equipment. "Deku!!" She exclaimed when she also saw the greenette.
Bakugo couldn't help but crack a small smile when his childhood friend was brought to the ground by a few little kids. Standing with his arms crossed at a bit of a distance as he watched the kids climb all over the greenette and bombarded him with questions.
Izuku's smile was wide and he was happy in this situation. He adored his fans and would always prove being there for them. He loved saving them, and wishing them a great life. And most the time he prayed he never saw them again, at least not on the Hero Field where they would need saving.
Katsuki froze when he felt a little kid tug on his shirt hem from behind. He looked back and raised his brow to the little lime-green haired girl. "You're Great Explosion Murder God Dy-Dynamight, right?"
