At home, I wasn't dressed in some comfortable clothes yet but I was cooking dinner

It was around six in the evening and I was already hungry, and since Jeonghan wasn't home, I guess I had to cook

I wasn't going to cook something grand, just something that would make me stuffed tonight

Since it was really my turn to cook today, I had to cook for my brother as well

"Ow! Shoot," I accidentally burnt myself, I turned the fire down and turned on the sink, and let my pinky soak in the water

I looked at what I was cooking before I turned off the sink and continued cooking

During this time Jeonghan should be home and setting up the table, why is he late?

He didn't message me or anything either

Shrugging it off, once I was done cooking I decided to set the table myself and once I was done I walked upstairs to my room to change before eating

With heavy and tired steps I made my way back downstairs and decided to eat by myself

Too tired to wait for Jeonghan, and I wanted to sleep already

I had my phone beside me as I slowly took a few bites of the food I prepared

I'm so good at cooking since the flavors were melting in my mouth, it felt like I was going to feel energized by eating this

I'm not overreacting

Suddenly I heard the door click and the sound of a loud sigh

Jeonghan was home

He finally appeared in my view and he spotted me as well, "am I late?"

"It's only eight"

He nodded and placed his stuff down on the floor before he walked up to me and sat down

"Tired?" he hummed in response as he took a bite of the food, he looked at me lifelessly, "how's your day?" he asked

"Well there's a new student coming, and I—"

I talked about everything that happened, in detail, he was already used to in though

I started talking about the new student at first, said my thoughts about it here and there, and how my other classmates reacted to it

Then some interesting things happened during class and Narae, Sunhee, and I did for the day as well

Some extra things here and there, I may have added not-so-important things to tell him but what not he was still listening anyways

Suddenly Jeonghan stopped me, "Eat while talking"

He pointed at my food after and I nodded, so after feeding myself a spoonful of food I continued talking

"Also I was telling Narae I was lazy about the schoolwork tonight—"

"What do you mean you're lazy?" I wince in pain since he hit the back of my head, not too hard but enough for me to complain that it hurt

He was glaring at me, maybe I should've not said that...

As I expected he began to lecture me, "Hey I'm working my butt off to have you attend school, and our mom who does make an effort is actually paying for it too"

"Since when were you at her side?"

"Because I do too care about school, and it's also an excuse to make you feel bad for me, us..."

I just hummed to whatever he said, it's always the same thing every time I mention things like

'Oh I don't want to do my schoolwork right now'
'I think it's a waste of time'

And so on, but I needed to complain about school once in a while

He continued lecturing me like a parent and shrugged it off once I was finished

I went back to my room after eating dinner and fixing up the kitchen

I plopped down on my bed and suddenly something hit me, "shoot! I have a test tomorrow..." I said to myself

I sighed in annoyance before I closed my eyes

'I'll do fine...'
