A few days later, the Christmas party was right around the corner. At Narae's house, Sunhee and Haesoo were there and they decided to wrap their gifts for the Secret Santa together. Gifts, gift wrappers, and paper bags were scattered around everywhere in Narae's room

Though even if they did wrap their gifts together, they still didn't tell each other who they got

As they wrapped their gifts, Narae's mom entered the room after she knocked, she peeked her head in and smiled as she saw the girls focused on wrapping their gifts

"Hey girls, if you need anything just tell me alright? Narae I'm going to work now, Mama is just downstairs okay?"

"Yes, Mom! See you later!"

Sunhee and Haesoo thanked Narae's mom before her mom waved goodbye and closed the door behind her

Sunhee looked at the two before she spoke, "Yah, we need to talk about something," Haesoo and Narae looked at Sunhee and wondered what she wanted to talk about

Sunhee took a glance at Narae before she stared at Haesoo, Haesoo looked confused and pointed at herself, "Talk about me? What did I do?"

Sunhee smirked and Narae already knew what the girl wanted to talk about, yet Haesoo was left there completely confused not knowing what the topic was about

"I think Sunghoon likes you"

"What?"
"I agree"

Haesoo glared at Narae, "What do you mean you agree? What makes you two think that?"

Narae threw a paper bag at Haesoo which shocked her, "Hey!"

"You're so dumb, not just academically..."

"Think about it Haesoo, look back at it. Sunghoon talks to you a lot"

"Yeah because we're friends"

Sunhee and Narae couldn't help but facepalm themselves with their slow-witted friend, who seemed to have her love radar broken. Haesoo kept a straight face, still not understanding why they thought Sunghoon 'likes' her

Sunhee took a deep breath before she continued

"Well, honestly. I didn't want to jump to conclusions Haesoo but during Sunghoon's surprise birthday party, he gave us very obvious hints," Sunhee explains as she also writes letters to add to her gifts, and Narae nods her head since she completely agrees with Sunhee

Haesoo still gave her friends a look of disagreement

"What do you mean by that, nothing happened at Sunghoon's house"

"It's not between you and Sunghoon, it's Sunghoons reaction between you and Jake"

"Jake?"

"Yeah!"

Sunhee stops what she was doing before she continued her explanation, "You and Jake were in charge of washing the dishes at Sunghoon's house right?" Haesoo nodded in reply

"While you two were doing that, Sunghoon noticed that you guys were close and having fun, laughing together. We saw his expression, he seemed annoyed... Even jealous"

"Jealous!?"

"Yeah! It wasn't even just that part, every time it was about you and Jake, he always had that expression with his arms crossed!"

Haesoo looked at her friends and rolled her eyes, "Did he tell you guys he was jealous? Or that he liked me?"

"No, but—"

"So as simple as that! He doesn't like me, so don't have that in your head that he likes me or something, he's just a friend"

At a different place at the same time and day, Sunghoon was also hanging out at a friend's house, Jay's house

They were in Jay's living room and having snacks, they had just finished watching a movie so they were talking

That's when Jay talked about the topic that the girls were talking about in Narae's house, "So I heard from Jake about your birthday party, I'm sorry I couldn't be there by the way, again"

"You don't need to say sorry it's fine," Sunghoon says after he gulped water

Jay suddenly smirked before saying, "Was glasses girl there?"

"Yeah, she was, why?" Jay couldn't help but chuckle a little which confused Sunghoon

"Jake told me you were glaring at him and all," Jay said and Sunghoon slowly nodded, "I suppose I was"

"He suspected you liked her, but then he kept saying—"

"Yeah I do"

Sunghoon's blunt and forward response caused Jay to choke on his drink, he looked at Sunghoon shockingly as he slowly covered his mouth giving him the 'OoO' face

Jay was speechless but Sunghoon just looked at him with no expression at all

"You never told us!?"

"You never asked"

Jay sighed annoyed and pointed at his friend, "That's not the point! Friends—Close friends! Like you and me, shouldn't need to ask we can just tell each other! Since when did you start liking her?"

"The moment I saw her"

"Wow okay, how come?"

Sunghoon paused, "Well, I don't know I just felt this feeling and I soon realized I had developed feelings for her"

"Woah, okay Sunghoon. Well Does she know?"

Sunghoon shook his head and Jay sighed, "So you like glasses girl, how interesting. Did you get her for your Secret Santa thing?"

"Sadly not..." Sunghoon frowned

Jay sighed and patted his friend's shoulder, "I bet she'll like you back eventually, you should just continue acting like how you'd normally treat her you know"

"I don't know why you're giving me advice when you've never liked nor dated someone"

"What do you mean I give the best advice even though!"

"I'm gonna get more water"

"Hey! I'm talking to you! I'm still older than you Sunghoon!"

"By a few months!"
