(No-one's POV)
"Butters, I've got the perfect hangout place for later. Aren't your parents gone tonight? We could visit the spot then!" Kenny exclaimed, turning over to Butters. Butters cocked his head, kicking his feet.
"Yea, my parents are leaving me home. What have you got, 'Ken?"
"Surprise."
"Oh, I like surprises!" Butters smiles, fiddling with his thumbs. Kenny smiles back.
"I'll walk by tonight around 8 o'clock. Be dressed and ready to leave out!"
"Sure thing, fella!"
"Okay, see you then."
(LATER THAT NIGHT)
Butters was laying down in bed, feeling exhausted but not wanting to pass up Kenny's request to hang out. All of a sudden, he hears the doorbell. He makes his way downstairs, opens the door, and sees his best friend.
"Hey, my parents get back tonight at 12, okay? They can't know I left, I'd get grounded!"
"Your parents are assholes," Kenny mumbled under his breath.
"I'm sorry fella, what'd you say?"
"Nothing. Let's go!" Kenny grabbed Butters' hand, dragging him far from his house. Butters attempted to keep up with him but kept tripping over himself. Some minutes passed by.
"Slow down, 'Ken!" Butters whined, his legs tired. Kenny let go of his hand.
"We're already here."
Butters looked up, seeing a large field and a starry night above that field. The view was amazing, and there was a small refreshing breeze. Butters looked at Kenny, he had pulled his hood down. Butters watched his blonde hair flow in the breeze and his toothy smile. He seemed happy about his discovery of this field and seemed even happier to spend time in it with his best friend. Maybe even his crush. If that's the situation, Butters reincorporates those feelings but neither of them knows of it. Butters isn't even aware of his feelings for the blonde boy in front of him, and neither is Kenny.
"It's beautiful, 'Ken!" Butters smiled, looking up at the stars. "Can we stargaze?"
"That was my exact plan." Kenny lay down on the grass, his hands behind his head. Butters quickly followed, both of their eyes staring up at the glistening stars.
They pointed out some stars that made unique shapes, as they laughed and cracked dumb jokes. Kenny looked over at Butters, and Butters looked over at Kenny. At that moment, they exchanged a few seconds of eye contact, and that was just enough to make the both of them realize their deep feelings for each other. For both of them in their minds, this event went from a friendly hangout to a romantic date.
They both know they can't just say their feelings, they feel like the other simply wouldn't accept it.
Butters smiles, intertwining his hand with Kenny's hand. A slight blush glazes on Kenny's face, as he looked over at Butters.
"I'm really lucky for someone like you to come into my life, you know?" Butters moved their gaze over to Kenny.
i
"Someone like me?" Kenny looked unconvinced but still appreciated the compliment. Butters nodded."I feel like I should be the one saying that. You're probably the sweetest person in this hell of a town." Kenny laughed, moving closer to Butters. Butters returned the act and moved closer to Kenny. Soon enough they were shoulder to shoulder.
"I've got a question," Kenny says, looking back up at the shining stars.
"Shoot." Butters averts his gaze over to the stars as well.
"How come you're so kind and thoughtful, even to the people who fucked you over? Cartman, for example, he's done some horrible things but you're still so nice. Even with your shitty parents, you just have a heart of gold."
"That's nice of you, 'Ken! I just think everyone, y'know, deserves a second chance at everything! Everyone deserves a fella in their life, despite how evil they are. Cartman can be a real asshole sometimes but that doesn't mean I'll hate him forever."
"You've got a lot of kindness in your soul to forgive Cartman for the things he's done."
"It's not like I fully forgive him. I just don't wanna hold any grudges."
"I get it, Butters. You're an amazing person."
Butters smiled, slightly leaning his head on Kenny's shoulder. Kenny wrapped an arm around Butters, as they sat in silence, watching the glistening stars. Although it was silent, a variety of emotions were communicated. Happiness, enjoyment, peacefulness, and love.
At this point, they were both aware of the love part. Neither of the two blonde boys decided to step up, but their love was only growing stronger by the second. In the end, someone's gonna have to say it.
There was nothing else for the two to talk about, they just sat in silence watching the stars and having small talk about random things. The majority of their time was spent watching stars. They felt as if everyone else in the world had disappeared and they were the only ones left, laying in this field of emotions.
"Hey, Kenny?"
"Yea?"
"The moon. it's beautiful, isn't it?" Butters looked over at Kenny.
Kenny looked over at Butters and they made eye contact. They both smiled and Kenny hugged Butters.
"I can die happy." Kenny sat up, smiling. Butters followed. Kenny softly placed a hand on Butters shoulder, getting closer.
"Can I?" Kenny asked. Butters nodded, placing his hands on Kenny's hips as they fluttered their eyes shut and connected their lips. They both felt like fireworks went off in their hearts as they softly kissed. Soon enough, they broke the kiss, both blonde boys a blushing mess. They exchanged no words but their actions and visible emotions said enough. They both lay back down in the grass, watching the stars once again.
Butters put his head on Kenny's chest, as Kenny caressed Butters' hair with one hand and wrapped his other arm around his waist.
"The stars in the sky are beautiful," Kenny smiled. "But the star that's in my arms right now is my favorite one. No star shines as bright as you."
"You're my favorite star too, 'Ken."

**IF YOU DONT GET THE END**
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" is another way of saying "I love you." in Japan.
The common response is "Shin demo ii wa." which means "I can die happy." in english.
"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" is more poetic way of saying I love you in Japanese language. During Japanese novelist Natsume Soseki's (1867-1916) teaching years, he supposedly overheard a student translating "I love you" rather awkwardly into its literal and direct translation."
