A Very short one shot
Third Person's Pov
Two young women left a pub on a chilly winter night at quarter after midnight.
Both had only discovered themselves sitting at the same table earlier, thus their encounter was accidental.
Now that they had consumed alcohol, Chaewon and Chaeyeon were both wobbling as they walked on the empty avenues.
One of them came to a stop, peered across the street at one of the big trees, and noticed a squirrel.
Chaewon exclaims, "Man, look! I've seen Sid!" as she points at the little creature in awe.
The taller girl standing next to her then moved closer to follow her line of sight, squinted her eyes and scowled when she saw a small animal grasping a walnut.
"It's a rat! and you do realise Sid was a racoon, right?"
Chaewon's eyes had lost their glitter and were now filled with uncertainty. She then demanded, "No, he's... a squirrel with a long neck!" as she turned to face Chaeyeon.
"Not at all, but the one you pointed at in those tree looks like a rat with a peanut!" Chaeyeon countered, "Ugh, anyway, I feel like vomiting."
"Are you pregnant?!"
The taller of them answered, "Hell no! I don't even swing in that way and don't even have a lover." She walked in a shaky way, looking for a place to sleep.
Chaewon blinked and said, "Oh?" before he followed the other female. "So who called you earlier and flooded your phone with messages?"
To which Chaeyeon said, "I don't know; she's claiming that she's my wife, and I must go home now or she'll kill me—pfft, that girl must be crazy and had called the wrong number." Chaeyeon then scratched her nape and burped.
"I don't recall what she looked like, but I do recall you introducing us to a girl you met in Japan a few years ago; was that Sakura, unnie?"
After locating a bench, Chaeyeon plopped flat on her stomach on it and said, "I did? And that name seems to sound familiar to me."
"Interestingly, there's something strange about this evening's events. A little girl had called me earlier and said that her mother, Kim Minju, was furious and that I was doomed."
"Minjoo?! Isn't she the campus sweetheart?"
Chaewon mourned and said, "The one and only, and I am shocked that she'd already have a family."
The older girl patted the younger girl's shoulder, "Man, that was the saddest wrong number phone call ever."
"Absolutely but there's a curfew, shouldn't we be in our dorm by now?!"
The younger girl had by this time vigorously pulled the laying Chaeyeon up after realising their pending punishment.
Both people instantly stand up and search the area for a taxi, but all they see are passing private vehicles.
Chaeyeon exclaimed in a panic, "Damn, how could you not remind me of that?"
"Since you're the senior person here, shouldn't you look out for us? Oh my, we aren't that inebriated, right? " the younger girl retorted.
Chaeyeon stared proudly at her after clearing her throat, but it was readily apparent that she was drunk from the glow in her eyes and the flames on her cheeks.
"We were obviously alright because, as you can see, we are still walking normally."
Chaeyeon started to move but stopped when she felt her body waver and noticed that the ground appeared to be floating in front of her.
She turns to face Chaewon, who is struggling to remain still as her eyes widen. The younger girl is subsequently taken in by Chaeyeon, who climbs upon her back."Come on, Chae, we have to leave; there's an earthquake!"
They both fell to the cold, hard ground because Chaewon was unable to support the weight of the older girl and because she was also inebriated and unsteady on her feet.
Chaeyeon exclaimed "Fuck, we're about to be devoured by this ground!" She forced herself to stand and took Chaewon in her arms.
While grasping Chaewon's body, she attempted to run but ended up spinning.
They both drank excessively.
