POV: ???
I opened my eyes and saw nothing but a void of darkness all around me, nothing to be seen but pitch black. It felt so empty, just nothing around me. Absolutely nothing. I couldn't tell if it was a lonely kind of empty, or a peacful kind. Either way, it was empty. I just couldn't tell if this is real or not, and this whole situation made me feel dazed. I had no idea where I was nor do I know what to do. I looked around only to continue to see nothing. Nothing but the same darkness that I first saw when I opened my eyes, and the only darkness that continues to grow. What was going on? Where even am I? Or maybe it was the view of the kingdom when the lights are down. But that's impossible. It's not that time of the year to shut down the lights for the moonlight to shine for the kingdom's safety and celebration. Now I am left with no other possible answer. Do I just wait here in the silence of this void? Well... at least it's not as hectic during the day when I have to do my duties... and care for the family... and such I suppose. A moment of peace is better than nothing.
I didn't have to wait for my question about this void to be answered, for everything seemed faint, but was slowly started to appear clearer as my surroundings faded into sight. It looks like some sort of structure. A castle maybe? An ancient one it seems. Never seen such architecture before, then again, I've only lived in one kingdom my entire life. I heard birds chirping through some open windows through the hall. I stepped closer to one to look outside to see a scenery of structures in the distance along side mountains I've never seen before, plants I do not recognize at all, and what I believe was the sky. I looked around the hall with confusion and curiosity. I have no idea where I am, nor do I know how I got here. Down the hall was a rug of a deep golden yellow with a silver lining on the edge of it as it ran down the hall. The yellow of the rug reminded me of the cheese stone from the kingdom that surrounds it. The walls of the castle though was of a different stone. Grey stone bricks. Huh. Never seen such bricks before. I looked slowly down the rug, then up as I searched for other details of the strange castle's halls. At least take in as much as I can to figure out where I am. Along the hall were stands with armor, similarly to knights standing guard down the hall. The air around me was very strong as well. It smelled of sweets and fresh gingerbread. Strange. Gingerbread? No such ingredient or anything similar originated from where I'm from.
I'm not exactly sure why now, but I had the sudden urge to walk down the hall, and by how I just walked down the hall, it suddenly felt like I knew the place. It felt like it was coming to me of where I was, at the tip of my tongue. It was ringing a bell, yet it felt like it wasn't. Hm, maybe there is someone in this place that may have answers to my many questions? Hopefully. I rushed down the halls mindlessly, occasionally looking around my surroundings. I recognized nothing so far. Nothing. But then again, this is all new to me. This rug wasn't of any familiar material of my kingdom, the walls were all different with the same grey stone bricks, their was the view of what I believed was the world above, the armor stands seemed of a unique design, and there were occasional paintings that seemed blurry for some odd reason. I walk and walk to not be able to find a cookie or any type of dessert down these halls. Where was everyone! Anyone! It felt like everything was spiraling with nothing but confusion. It felt so strange and unreal that there wasn't at least one dessert. Maybe a servant at least, but nothing! I kept walking and searching for answers. Answers to my many questions while I walk down these halls with no control of where I was going. Seeing nothing but the same thing. Over and over again of yellow carpet, armor stands, blurry paintings, open windows.
Yellow carpet, armor stands, blurry paintings, open windows.
Yellow carpet, armor stands, blurry paintings, open windows.
Yellow carpet, armor, blurry paint, open windows.
Carpet, armor, paint, windows.
Yellow, stands, blurry, open.
