Chapter 6

I can feel the excitement getting bigger and brighter.
What if I really can control more than just the earth. I start thinking about air and how it feels, how great it would feel to control and than it happens I can feel the wind from everywhere around me.
I can see it right before my eyes just like I saw my brothers in front of me me through my closed eyes,
How the wind is shifting through the grass, crashing against stone and trees, concentrating more I go further and faster through the forest just like the wind and then it happens I reach the beach, it feels huge how the wind is controlling the waves, is letting them crash into each other and into the sand.
And suddenly there's dizziness and everything turns back and I land straight on my ass.
Wow I've never gone this far before.
But hell, this was freaking amazing.
Okay try more, can I let myself fly?
I start controlling the wind around me and try using it to shift me upwards, before I can think further my head is crashing against a branch above me.
Alright maybe a little less might.
I start again but this time I'm trying to pull the wind just around my hands and feet, oh shit now my limps are just uncontrolled and dangling in the air,
I stop everything and land on my ass again. More careful, I need to be more careful, but wasn't that the reason nothing ever changed?
Alright new plan, stop thinking, stop controlling, stop caring, I can feel myself getting pushed in the air, alright now foreword.
It's working there's a tree, go left, the next tree, go right, yes yes yes just like this.
Now just a little faster.
The trees around me are not as focused as before, but that's not important, I am good one meter in the air and moving forward.
But then I stop, and land on my ass...again. I really have the improve my landings.
There is a cliff right before me, one wrong move and I'm dead.
I go to the ground and stop flying, No not again, stop that thinking, let go of the control in order to control more.
It's like catching fish, sometimes letting the small fish go, gives you the chance to catch an even bigger one.
So I close my eyes and let everything go and flow away from me, just like the wind.
The next time I opened my eyes, I could feel the wind tickling my face as it's brushing against me. It almost feels like a storm, a tornado maybe.
My feet are starting to tremble as I feel my own excitement growing bigger.
It almost feels like I had no control.
The steps between my feet are getting farther away from another and just now I realise I'm running.
Running to the end of the cliff, it feels stupid. Maybe I am, but a small part in my head is telling me it's worth it.
I jump, nothing of myself is steady on the ground anymore and then...I start to fly

Well sliding would fit better probably. Im literally half sitting half standing in the air. That is so freaking cool, I let myself fall, the ground is coming but before I crash into it I just push myself upwards again, I can see a branch right in front of my eyes I grab it with my hands and swing myself onto it.
Could I use the air to make my jumping faster and perhaps longer?
I think, well let's try it out. I jump and use the wind as a way to push myself, it's working, maybe a bit wobbly but still good, as I go further and further into the forest I completely forget about the time as the sun is going down.
Suddenly I hear something that's not part of the forest, screams, cruel screams and cries are echoing through the now dark forest, almost instinctively I go into ninja mode and become one with the shadows.
I can see a Horse drawn carriage and people standing on the side which are punching a person, it's a man who is holding something in his arms and protecting it with all his might.
The other people are punching him, some of them
have swords, he's already bleeding really hard. I've never been in a fight before I'm not even the strongest among my brothers, this is certainly Ryō, but I can't just do nothing.
Alright concentrate, breath in and out.
Oh man I can't think when he's screaming that loud so I just jump from my branch into the middle of the people, not very ninja like but who cares, I am not Yuki so it should be fine. Everything is still for a second and the people are looking at me shocked.
But then out of nowhere one of them is aiming his fist right at my face.
My instinct is faster than my mind so I block it with my hand but I don't have the time to put any stone around it so I literally flew against one of the other persons behind me.
I crash him down to the ground with myself. Right next to me is the man, who's gotten beaten up someone is holding him
as I look closer I see it's a girl, she's looking at me shocked almost scared not like the others, but I don't have time to think longer about it, because someone is trying to slice me up with a sword, this time I'm more prepared, I threw him away with wind.
For a second I actually think I've got the upper hand, but than everyone is screaming and running at me with their swords and knives and fists. I drew a circle in the ground with my foot and put a wall of wind around me to block their attacks.
As I jump in the air I take the sand from the ground with me to attack the others but before I get the chance to do so someone from the group is attacking but not me,
no he is attacking the man, before I can think, he is slicing the sword threw the man's chest and into the woman's shoulder behind him.
Both of them scream out in pain.
No... no why? I... I... I can't think, everything went black.
As anger is filling my body, I take the people in the air and crash them as against the trees.
I don't have the time to care about them now so I try to get to the ground but land on my ass again.
As I stumble to the man he is looking me straight in the eye.
I start crying. "I'm so sorry, this wasn't supposed to happen, I...I just wanted to help you I".
"It's okay I knew I didn't had long, you look kind my boy and you have some powerful magic if you train it "he said while smiling.
"You know about magic?" I ask still a little confused. "Well not really, I'm a dragon lord" he said "Dragon Lord wow so ?".
"Shush, I don't have much time, please take it" he interrupts me as he is giving me the thing he was protecting the whole time, as I look closer I see it's an egg.
"Don't tell me...". "It's a dragon egg please, I beg you bring this egg to Fukunawa, somewhere here has to be a bag with books and stuff, there is more information, please it's my only wish you have to do it".
I was shocked I wanted to respond, but suddenly one of the man stood up and ran with his sword in his hand in my direction,
but he wasn't aiming at me, he was aiming at the girl who was holding the man which is now sitting against a tree.
Only one thought crossed my mind, not again, I will not let this happen again, not if I can do anything against it.
So out of instinct  I stood up and threw myself right before the girl.
I can feel the sword slicing in my body and an unholy pain is going through my mind. I sink to the ground holding my arm where the sword still is.
As I turn around I face the girl, I have no idea what my face must look like but it must be shocking because she is just staring at me, her eyes filled with pain, anxiety and confusion "Run".
It's the only thing I say to her, she blinked and ran away.
As I turn around again the man is away as well.
I try to get up and and stumble back to the man with the egg, still with the sword in my shoulder. But as I reach him, his eyes are already dull and out off light, he is dead. I look at him and feel nothing but shame.
I couldn't safe him and I couldn't give him conscience that his last wish will be full filled.
Haru would have saved him for sure.
As I stand up I take the sword out off my arm I don't care about the pain anymore it feels like nothing compared to the grief.

As I  grab the egg which is put in some kind of carry bag, I search for his things and find both the book and his papers.
Everything in my body is hurting and I know I must be loosing a lot of blood and in addition I don't have the energy to fly home so I just go by foot nothing is on my mind, as the sun is slowly rising.
