Chapter 9

Haruki POV
The fight was hard.
I never fought it would be this fast and unclear.
I wasn't focusing, not really my mind is constantly shifting to either the fire or the people or my brothers.
So I did it.
One mistake happened and it would probably be the last.
While fighting, I lost my sword, the weapon I'm most comfortable with, like an old friend.
It is now lying a few meters away from me, but I can't reach it, if I'd try to, the two children behind me would die.
So I do the only thing that's coming to my mind, pushing the children behind my back and covering them with my body.
But than I saw something in the corner of my eye, as I turn around, Aki is running in front of me
He is slithering on the ground almost as if hes falling,
with one hand he pushes himself up and with the other hes pushing the man in front of him in the air and pushes him into a house.
It's almost as if he could control the air.
As Aki turns around he looks at me with a face of worry, well I can't blame him,
I probably look very messed up „you okay Haruki?"
he's asks but I'm still a bit shocked, the kids behind my are running away but I'm not looking at them I just look at Aki still a bit confused
„are you in shock?
Or is anything broken?"
he starts touching my arm looking for injuries „how did you do that?" I interrupt „and also you aren't supposed to be here you're injured"
I tell him „well right now you're more messed up than I am... well physically, mentally it's still debatable"
he said with a cheeky smile, that shitty idiot it's really making jokes right now.
As I smile back at him, he helps me up and we're going to the next tree.
„where are Ryō and Yuki?" he asks „probably fighting further in the north" I say as I'm heading in the direction, we need to find them, there probably doing similar mistakes as I did so I startet running.
Aki if following me, of course he is, as if he would just stay out of the fight like he's supposed to.
Between the flames and the smoke I search for my brothers.
As I run into the city I see Ryō how he's running at Yuki and which is sitting on the ground, while covering his shoulder, I think it's bleeding, someone is running at him, with a sword in hand, we have to help him, but Ryō will not make it.
I can feel my heard stop as the thought of my brother dying crosses my mind, yet before I can start running,
Aki is already sprinting, but
hes a bit too fast, this is not the normal level of his speed.
He starts jumping, but instead of landing on the ground, hes flying and in the blink of an eye hes in front, of his brother, heaving the sword off the enemy with his bare hands.
I can see Yukis shocked face, it's probably not different from mine.
Aki is holding the sword and pulls it out of his hand, yet I see that his hand is covered in stone, that's probably why he could just grab the blade with his bare hands.
He's doing all this while hes still in the air.
The next thing is happening almost in slow motion, with his right hand he's grabbing the wrist of the man infront of him, kicks into his stomach, then turns around in the air and throws him over his shoulder and into a house.
This is a move from Yuki and his Ninja Training, normally he shouldn't be supposed to know how to do it.
As hes sliding to the ground, Yuki and Ryō are already talking intensely to him.
As I come closer, I hear Ryō almost shouting "what in the living hell was that, you... you where flying... HOW?".
Yuki is standing in front of him, lifting a brow and simply asking "was that my move?".
"Yes" Aki answers completely unbothered.
Now the two youngest are staring at each other.
Ryō is killing the silence
"why are you answering him but not me?
Why where you flying?"
Finely Aki turns ti Ryō and says "well to be honest I don't know, I just realised I could, when I tried it"
"why is magic so easy if you can just try it?" Yuki asks still holding onto his shoulder, I start treating his wound with some bandages I always carry around, he's flinching, almost immediately all of us are flinching as well probably a brother thing.
"It's not like I had no problems learning it, and I couldn't control it probably as I was fighting the guys in the forest" there was a silence, because the face of my brother drops again, as he's talking about the incident, now the looks to "adult like"again, just like the first time we saw him after the fight.
"You were fighting three guys at the same time right?" I ask, now all of my brothers are looking at me shocked, than the looked at Aki because I was right, he was fighting alone and still managed to win.
"I'm still not good the only thing I can is lifting things and myself" he says
"well isn't that the only thing wind does?" Ryō asks
"you were really stealing my move weren't you, you asshole" Yuki suddenly ask, wow he's really kind of depressed,
Aki looks at Ryō completely ignoring Yuki "who knows"
then he looks at Yuki "yes I did"
then he looks at me "we need to talk"
before any of us could say something there was another explosion
"can we first win this fight please" ryo asks
"well that's the thing, you know, I know how to end it, but you guys probably won't like"
I exchanged some worried looks with Yuki andRyō,
then we were talking hidden behind a tree
"so how do we stop this" I ask
"there here for this egg, this is also the reason why I'm not in the temple, Sensei said I need to bring this egg to Fukunawa, as fast as possible" Aki starts but then he's interrupted by Yuki
"ah yes I remember you aren't even supposed to be here"
"yes so now I just run threw the forest and after some time, you just tell the people, I'm in the exact opposite direction"
"Wait, I hope you don't mean that ? I'm not going to let you get chased by some psychos" Ryō said angry
"Well that's the reason you let them go in the opposite direction dummy"
"Don't dummy him, you're the dummy, that plan is way too risky, what if they don't believe us and still follow you're way, you can't fight against all of them alone aaaand you're still injured"
Yuki starts talking like crazy
"You're injured too" Aki points out
"This is not part of this conversation"
"It is"
"It's not"
"It is"
"Stop it" is say loudly, as I put myself between them "we're doing you're plan" I say while looking directly at Aki
"We're doing what?" Ryō screams
"Are you out of youre mind" Yuki asks way too seriously.
"We have no other choice, even if we all fight together we still cannot win, but it's more dangerous for Aki if he's here with the egg, because I'm pretty sure he's not just giving it to the enemy"
I say, now everyone is looking at Aki who's just smiling nervously, like he cheated in a game
Now the three of us just sighs and Yuki is shaking his head.
"Alright alright you're probably right" Ryō says and then turns to Aki
"Run as fast as you can and hide if they find you understand?
Do not try to fighting"
Aki is nodding now Yuki pushes Ryō beside to stand before Aki
"just ehhmmm be careful okay?
He asks kind of awkwardly
I just go to him and give him a quick hug, everything's said, so why not, he's kind off stiff but then suddenly melts into it.
As I I break the hug, I fast turn him around and give him a push "now go".
