After seemingly endless hours of lunch, everyone gets up and heads to different corners of the house. And Gabriela... Remains in the dining room, simply not knowing exactly what to do, after all, she was in a mansion somewhere she did not know, full of people she did not know and who, just the appearance and behaviors she witnessed from some, emanated various red flags, various danger signs.

Please! Who thinks eating humans is normal?!

The girl takes a while to process what happened at lunch. Her stomach was turning. Her stomach hurt. As if refusing to digest that soup after the girl's eyes told her what was in it mixed with those little noodles.

Holding back the urge to expel what was in her stomach, the girl stood up and walked cautiously through the dining room. Trying not to draw attention to herself, she looks around as she approaches the exit of that room. It was strange, the way everyone present in the next room, the living room, seemed so relaxed, so... Human...

Não! Eles estão só fingindo. Eles estão tentando me deixar confortável, de guarda baixa, para depois me tornar numa escrava. Me manipular... Me matar... Precisas sair daqui, Gabriela, precisas sair daqui!

((No, they are just pretending! They're trying to make me comfortable, keep my guard down, and then turn me into a slave. You need to get out of here, Gabriela, you need to get out of here!))

Gabriela sees a door, right opposite a staircase and a corridor. Looking around once more, she sighs silently and walks to that door, trying to be as quick and unobtrusive as possible.

She doesn't know how, but no one stopped her or even tried. Was she really that... quiet? Or did they just ignore her? Either way, she opens the door, silently, closing it the exact same way. Noticing the outside, she almost celebrates her freedom until she smells cigarette smoke giving away someone's presence. Looking back, she notices a man, very similar to the girl with the cut mouth, but with the white hood, sitting on the few steps of the covered veranda, looking at her with those frighteningly wide-open eyes. So wide-open that it seemed as if he didn't even have eyelids.

The seconds seem like minutes, maybe hours.

Não desvie o olhar... Não desvie o olhar! NÃO DESVIE O OLHAR!!!

((Don't look away... Don't look away! DON'T LOOK AWAY!!!))

No matter her ridiculous attempt to defend herself, her fear was clear, and before she could do anything, or perhaps scream, the man moves quickly, trapping her against the door and covering her mouth rudely, causing a thud as the girl's body slams against that smooth piece of wood. The silence that then settled between the two was frightening, but strangely... Familiar...

After a good puff, the man releases all the smoke into the girl's face, making her close her one eye and hold her breath, letting herself be humiliated in that simple way, but refusing to smell that damn annoying smell.

"You're really 'veeeery' smart, aren't you?", the man's voice was raspy, filled with pure irony and quite intimidating. Calmly he slides his hand from his mouth to the girl's neck, which makes her completely tense immediately, exerting a firm grip, but not enough to make the girl breathless, just to scare her and have her under control. After all, fear turns people into helpless little insects. So easy to crush. So... So easy...

"Heh, I wouldn't recommend you try to run away, it's not worth it...", pausing briefly, the man's chiseled smile seems to widen as, to further emphasize his words, he tightens his grip on the girl's neck slowly, who, startled, digs her nails into the man's wrist, trying to cause as much pain as possible to get him to let go of her, but it didn't seem to bother him much, in fact, it just made him laugh and continue in a deeper, creepier tone. "Do you really think you can save yourself? You're literally just skin and bone, it's not like you can do much..."
