Part 9, The ‘Open’ Surprise, Ave’s POV
The next day at school I could tell that Leo has been thinking way too much lately. He needs to take a break from everything. I walked over to Avery and wrapped my arms around her waist. Then we heard a few woops, and hollers coming from farther down the hall. We both stopped to look at what was going on. Then I saw something I never imagined seeing.
There was Leo and Harry. Harry was holding Leo’s hand and their hands were up in the air above their heads.
“ I’m gay! This is my boyfriend Leo everybody!” Harry screamed out, smiling. I think we all got what we wanted. I got the girl, and Leo got the boy. It was so happily ever after!
Harry and Leo started seriously dating. I started seriously dating Avery. She and I spent most of our time together.

The next day I woke up to Avery’s voice. I was cuddling into her chest.
“ Morning babe, we got to go to school.” We went to school together the next day. The day went by really fast. Soon enough I went into the bathroom with Avery.
“ I really do love you Ave.” She kissed me, running her hand through my long hair. She pushed me against the wall, wrapping one of my legs around her waist, to support myself. I think that we missed at least two classes. Leo would cover for us. I know that he does the same things with Harry in the men’s bathroom. When we went back out to the class, it turns out that we didn’t really miss any class. Everyone was late to class anyways. I sat down next to Leo, and Avery. I took out my homework so I could hand it into the teacher. I am also doing very will with my extra curriculum work. I finished the book like two days ago. Avery passed me a note on a little folded piece of paper that was obviously ripped off her homework.
What are you doing this weekend? Avery asked me, in the note.
I’m gonna be home. Why? I asked
Do you wanna come over to my house? She asked me
Yes! You don’t even have to ask! I said
MMMM… grrr I the this class. She has always hated this class.
I know that, you have told me every day since I moved here. I said to her.
Do you ever wonder what would’ve happened to either of us, if you never moved here? She asked me
Not really. I would’ve met you some point in my life. If we are destined for each other than that means that we would meet each other anyways. It doesn’t matter what happened then. I told her. I mean, if we are supposed to be together than I think that we would’ve met each other even if I didn’t move here when I did.
Yeah, you are right. She told me.
Avery and I sat with Leo and Harry at lunch. We always have the funniest conversations.
“ Do you girls want to know what we were doing last night?” Leo asked Avery and I. She and I just exchanged funny looks like, uh no thanks boys.
“ No, I think that we are good.” Leo and Harry were laughing and we started to laugh along with them. I love when they laugh, it makes me so happy to know that they are so happy together.
“ Do you guys want to know what we did last night?” Avery asked Leo and Harry. Avery took my hand and rubbed it lightly as she held it in her lap.
“ No I think we are good. Thanks for asking though…” They were laughing so hard at this point. I went home that day after school feeling like everything has happened the way I wanted it to. I wanted to be with Avery, I wanted Leo to end up with Harry. It was sort of like I knew that al this was coming. I knew that this was all going to turn out this way. The best part about all this is that I was right. I fell asleep with great feelings that I have never felt before.
