Vivian Jones

I've honestly had worst first days before. But after having coffee spilled on me, being groped (even though I'm pretty sure it was accidentally) and having to change into a sweatshirt when I wore my favorite white blouse, I was certain the day couldn't get too much more exciting.

Oh boy was I wrong.

After changing into a crewneck sweatshirt, the logo for the adaptation of 'Behind the Scenes' on the left breast, I made my way to the stage where a group of people were gathered looking expectantly at the seat with my name on it. As I neared it, all eyes turned to me and suddenly a booming voice greeted me.

"Miss Vivian! How are you?!" I look over to see an older gentleman practically pouncing on me, a broad smile on his face.

"Mr. Gong! It's a pleasure to meet you in person!" I smile, realizing that the old man's booming voice wasn't relegated to video calls exclusively, but rather was just a part of the charm and personality of the older gentleman.

"How are you settling in? I guess you like the merch line we sent to your office?" Gong Hoon looks me up and down and smiles at the appearance of the crewneck.

"Oh, well I—"

"Sorry I'm late everybody, I had to stop for a quick—" I turn around and see the man from earlier running into the room a sheepish smile gracing his lips when he meets my eye hesitantly.

I raise a brow at him, and he quickly diverts his eyes from me as they land on Gong Hoon.

"So, you like it then?" Gong Hoon reiterates, his voice getting louder as he waits for an answer to his question.

"What? Oh, the sweatshirt! I thought it would be nice change for the team to see me in some local merch than my stuffy American clothes." I lie, keeping an eye on the man from earlier as he takes in my words and becomes stiffer and stiffer with each word. I hide my playful smirk and return my attention to Gong Hoon.

"How thoughtful!" Gong Hoon chortles. "I must be going, but I wanted to say hello to the most important member on the team, after me of course!"

Gong Hoon shakes my hand and leaves the stage, leaving me behind to be stared at like a zoo animal.

"Don't worry, they'll get bored of staring at you eventually." Du Shin-Il murmurs from next to me as he appears. "Bu Seok will start the reading and introduce you to the team and then they'll have to start focusing on their own things."

Du Shin-Il points out a few people and identifies them. I recognize the actress playing the female lead. I had signed off on her coming on board last week.

"Gar Yun-Hee will play Elizabeth and Lee Young-min will play Jonas' character. The red head over there, that's Gar Yun-Hee. She's been in several of the studio's romantic comedy dramas and has quite the fan base. She's quite well known for making the staffers gain weight due to her famous chocolate chip cookies."

"That's great. I was really hoping she'd be a real-life sweetheart like Elizabeth," I sigh in relief. "And what is the actor who play Jonas' character like?"

"Lee Young-min... he's coming over here right now as a matter of fact."

"Miss Jones..." a sheepish voice makes me tilt my head and I look at the man before me.

Having complained about having to speak in English earlier, I was quite surprised that the rude gentleman from before could speak in practically perfect English. I raise my brow at him and stare, taking the moment to examine him further while I wait for him to continue.
