Lee Young-min
"So far the scenes seem to be landing pretty well, but I think it'll all be about audience perception for tomorrow's shoot so the emotions—" Bu Seok continues to drone over the phone into my ear about 'Behind the Scenes' and I have a hard time not falling asleep as he repeats the same sentence in 10 different ways.
"I hope Eomeoni finds you a girlfriend so you can focus on her as much as you do me."
"Hey!" Bu Seok whines. "I'll have you know that I've got my eye—"
"Yes, yes, your eye on the Future Mrs. Bu. Let's hope she find your chattiness more entertaining than I do."
Bu Seok chuckles.
I sit in the back of a car in the middle of traffic and watch as a sea of cars inch past me, heading the opposite way from my destination. An accident up ahead has caused both sides of the road to stall while the police try and clear up the debris and straighten everything out. A flash of movement catches my eye and I look to the side and see a familiar face driving a black sedan next to me.
"Hey, Du Shin-Il is next to me!"
"What?"
"Du Shin-Il is in the car next to me. He must've been at the stadium working out."
"Weird... what a coincidence."
I look at the car to see if anyone is in the backseat, but the tinted windows make it impossible for me to look in.
Miss Jones must be at home enjoying her day off.
"That's probably how he's managed to stay in such good shape since returning from the service." Bu Seok comments. "Probably hitting hundreds of balls and running laps around the stadium."
"I didn't think he liked visiting there anymore ever since—"
"People are weird. He's weird." Bu Seok throws out in a hurry, a sigh on his lips.
I nod silently and watch as his car passes by without another thought.
"Why are you over in that part of town anyways?"
"Ah, Coach Gal Jii from the semi-professional team is agreeing to let me practice with them once or twice a week to prepare for your film. Today was a good day for both schedules so I'm gonna workout with them this morning."
"Ahh, I didn't realize you'd be working with professionals for your audition efforts."
"Hey, I'm nothing if not a professional!"
"I've gotta go work on some script edits Gong Hoon wants to implement, but you keep up with being a 'professional' and have fun playing with the boys."
I scoff as he hangs up on me.
I'm very professional, you jackass.
I hop out of the car and take my gym bag onto my shoulder as I walk into the stadium. I wind my way down to the private locker rooms for guests when I see a couple of familiar faces chatting.
"Coach, Coach," I joke, shaking the hands of the two men in front of me.
"Lee Young-Min, how are you?" Coach Gal Jii asks as he shakes my hand.
"Appreciative of the opportunity to work with your team."
"It'll be a good morale boost for the team and great press for the club to have a famous actor working out with our boys. How could we say no?"
