Chapter 11 Courage

Maximus pov~

  I saw her today and boy I wanted to pull her close to me but I didn't she needs to be free of me and my problems my wife, on the other hand, has been calling nonstop.

  I go back to Ricardo's house where I find him with some shots out and he says" Relax I know what you need we are going out".

I say" Nah I'm cool".

He scoffs and says" I know your cool and that's why you coming".

I nod and sigh anything to get my problems off my mind.

  I get ready and spray my cologne on after we are on our way out. 

I see we are going to this new upbeat club and I chill we head to the bar and I grab a glass of scotch on ice and down it then ask for another.

  Ricardo says" Just chill and relax watch the scene".

I nod and light up a cigarette then look around I spot her through the crowd though her hair is different I can't seem to take my eyes off her.

My buddy sees what I'm looking at and says "If you want the courage drink up".

  I don't even look at what's in it I just down it.

  I keep my eyes on her and see her having a good time smiling and I just love to see it on her face too bad I married the wrong lady.

  I keep taking shots until I feel like I can talk to her I get up to find her but don't see her.

I hear next to me "Can I get 2 shots of gold Amnesia".

I sigh and look to see it's her I don't say anything just look at her I see she has makeup on but her eyelids are puffy from crying looks like I sigh and clench my jaw I did this to her.

The bartender brings her shots and says
" Well what a beauty like you drinking your problems always for".

She looks shocked and then fiddles with the straw in her cup I see her look at the bartender and she says" I'll be okay it's not my story to tell thanks".

She pays and walks off Ricardo is dancing in the crowd ladies all over him this guy has me laughing.

  I light up another cigarette and then I look for her to see her dancing with her friend I forgot his name is with her I see she is grabbing attention and sigh she's beautiful.

  Amelia's pov~

  I'm glad I came out I'm totally passed drunk I've had a whole bottle of gold amnesia trying to forget what happened since I met him.

   I look across the room and see him what I gasp and see he's looking right at me how long has he been here.

He looks amazing I look away I was stuck but I remember he doesn't want me and he was married to a snake.

I'm angry I say" Myles let's go get more drinks".

I'm glad he brought us to a club with a hotel near right next door.

  He nods and says" Hell yea that's right bitch let loose".

I shake my head he doesn't know I'm hurting or does he this is why he took me out to get my mind of the hurt.

We reach the bar and Myles says " 6 shots of your gold amnesia".

The bartender says" Well if it isn't beauty".

I shrug and say" Not tonight drinks please".

He nods and gives us the shots I down them and leave 3 for Myles after I'm really feeling it.

  I hear my song come on and say" Wooo aye".

  I begin to dance and hop to sit in the bar after I slip my heels off and stand up to dance on the bar counter.

I see Maximus in the corner of my eye watching I see Myles laughing while recording this guy.

I feel so free this is the most fun I've had in a while.

  The bartender says" Okay enough I don't know who that guy marching over here is but he's serious".

I try to hurry and climb down knowing he's talking about Maximus and before I do I take a swig of the gold amnesia bottle.

Maximus picks me up after I almost fell off I pout and say" Let me go".

  I groan when I wake up then put the pillows over my head until I get the feeling I have to puke.

I get up and rush to the bathroom I open my eyes trying to realize where I was and it was getting worse the feeling to have to puke I look around but before I can make it I go right to the trash can.

I pick it up and walk all the way to the bathroom with it all while puking.

  My head is banging what happened last night I look in the mirror to see marks on my neck and my hair a total mess I look crazy what happened.

I rinse my mouth and lucky it was a bag in the garbage can, I tie the bag and rinse the can tossing the other bag in the bathroom garbage.

I realize it's a hotel so I'm glad the maid can clean I'm tired but my head is hurting my eyes even hurt.

I walk out and see a figure in the bed I sigh last time this happened led me to where I'm at now heartbroken.

  I see the person reach for me and they bounce up when I'm no longer there I see him and tear up again.

  He looks at me and says" Leaving".

I find this funny I say" We should stop ending up in this situation we can't keep meeting like this".

I hurry and get dressed I have work today and see him doing the same I'm mad does he think he can do this now cheat he's still married.

I look at him and smile I say" Please don't become her, okay yes I love you but I won't be a part of your downfall goodbye Maximus it was nice meeting you".

He tears up I gasp and he says" Until we meet again my one and only can I at least have a hug".

I nod and he walks up I instantly melt fitting into the spot that felts like it was built for me knowing it's too good to be true I do him better by giving him one last deep kiss.

When I walk out it's like deja vu I see Myles walking out smiling.

  I say" Let's go I'm hungover and have to work".

  I get to my house eating then showering and take a nap setting a alarm for work.
