The day was a perfect day to go out on a walk, that means Peppa was in a good mood today. Not long after we started our walk we noticed some giggling coming from behind us. Camilo sneaked a peek at the noise, his smirk growing a bit.
"Hey, princesa, don't you think it's a little quiet in Encanto today?"
I quickly caught onto his little act and smiled at the exaggeration in his voice. A rustle came from a nearby bush.
"You're right, Camilo. It does seem a little quiet. I wonder where the kids went."
I gave an obvious shrug for a theatrical effect. Another giggle came from behind the wall around the corner.
"GETT'EM!!"
A water balloon was hurled towards Camilo, but he dodged it just in time. He was unsuccessful with the second one, however, that hit him in the back of the head. Water splashed and wet his curly locks, getting a bit on my dress.
"You're so dead!"
He ran towards the one who threw the balloon, scaring the kid off who conveniently left his stash for us to use. I ran after him, dodging the balloons as they landed near my feet, getting a bit of water on my dress. We both hid behind the wall and used the leftover balloons to splash each of the kids.
One of the kids held out a white flag.
"Ok, ok, we surrender! We ran out of balloons.."
"I knew we should've made some more!"
Camilo and I came out of hiding, carefully checking to make sure they weren't tricking us. Camilo ruffled one of the kids' hair.
"Haha. Alright, you kids go on and play. And don't get into too much trouble, got it?"
They ran off yelling and waving back at us.
"Got it!"
We turned and looked at eachother. Our clothes were soaked.
"We should probably get changed. You especially, Camilo.."
He looked down and remembered he's wearing a white shirt. The realization showed on his face as I chuckled a bit.
"... Agreed. You can just borrow something from Dolores or Mirabel."
We quickly began our walk to Casita to change.
