I stared at the spot the Alpha had recently been, wondering why indeed my voice had changed.

"Is it because I kind of like her even though I just met her, like an idiot?" I pondered, "Or is because she's too damn hot to resist? Stupid Alphas and their stupid immortal beauty. If I was anything but a vampire..."

I glanced at her plate, where her fork laid in a pile of spaghetti. It seemed to be...smoking? I quickly grabbed the fork and winced as the fork burned his fingers and I dropped it back onto the plate. I got a bowl from one of the cabinets, filled it up with cold water from the sink and returned to the counter. I quickly snatched up the fork and dropped it into the cold water. In seconds, the water was steaming and evaporating quickly. I brought the bowl over to the sink and quickly filled it up again with cold water, more steam rising from the bowl.

"What in Hellificus' name? How is-"

Then I realized that I now had a huge problem on my hands. I had randomly, out of the blue, said her name.

"Oh, no, no, no, no," I panicked, dropping the bowl in the sink and whirling around. Sure enough, a portal opened in front of me and the fearsome Hell Goddess Hellificus stepped forward through it, looking very enraged.

"I didn't mean-!"

"Why would you dare interrupt my time? Did you need revenge or something that's actually worth my time?"

"Uh..."

"Or did you say my name to start an drastic scandal? I can do that too. Looking to get with the Alpha? I can help. Because bloody motherfucking Hell, I've been bored up there."

"Why-You know what, yeah, I am looking to date her."

Hellificus raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure it's just dating, Dick Grayson? Because the way your eyes are glowing right now, I could-"

"No! It's just dating. I don't want anything, uh...problematic."

Hellificus smiled, a icy cold glow of a smile.

"Sure, sure."

"Please, just don't do anything..."

"Do anything what? Don't waste my time. Tell me what you want with the Alpha and I shall help attain it."

"I want-"

I stopped. What did I want with Hana? She was sarcastic, quieter at times, still mysterious, rough around the edges, had a sharp temper, but she had been gentle earlier that night.

"Uh...I think...I want her...to be...mine. Yeah. Mine and mine alone."

A slow smirk spread across Hellificus' face.

"Alright, then, Nightwing. I shall help you get her to be yours alone. And I may require something in return."

"What? Anything."

"I want to see May Lyra."

I snorted then lost my self-control and started laughing.

"You want to see your former host that kicked you clear off the map?"

Hellificus released a snarl.

"Fine! Fine, I'll find her. But handle the Alpha first."

I shook my head and muttered that I couldn't believe I was making a deal with the most terrifying Goddess in Hell. Hellificus vanished and I turned back to the evaporated sink water, sighing at the sight of the rising steam.

"Great. Here we go again, time to burn my hands off."

Suddenly, a loud bang occurred behind me then a string of curses.
