The weekend was pretty uneventful other than hanging out with Y/N on Friday. I would've read my manga but when I had tried to I realized he had taken the wrong bag home and I had his hanako manga. In my boredom I had searched my name on Twitter and ended up finding the girl who had gotten my autograph. Her tweet just said, 'look what I got!!!' With a picture of the card. She had atted me too. I went to the comments and much to my chagrin, she had mentioned Y/N.
You think that was Damien's boyfriend?!
Wait, is he gay?!

To think our joke really came true.
I woke up to my alarm yelling at me. I groggily shoved my glasses on and drug myself to the bathroom to get ready for work. I'm no Garfield but no one likes Mondays. I put on some black cargo pants, one of my Kingdom Hearts shirts, my long black and white cardigan, and some combat boots. Then I added a bit of jewelry. Just some simple black stud earrings and a few rings. Keeping it fairly plain today I also kept my glasses on instead of putting contacts in. I headed to the kitchen and put a bagel in the toaster. As it was toasting, I filled up a water bottle and threw a couple lemon slices in it. I put cream cheese on my bagel before grabbing my water bottle, keys, and work bag, and heading out the door. I sat at my desk for a bit going through my schedule for the day. Y/N crossed my mind for a moment and I got to thinking: once he starts working here, he's probably going to want to be near someone he's familiar with to make starting here more comfortable. I had some time before I had to get to set for a shoot so I went to talk to Selina. She is the office manager after all. "Hey Selina?"
"Hey Damien what's up?"
"Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you for a bit." She nodded and gave me her full attention. "So- well first off, F/N got hired here right?"
"Yeah, I'm working on his desk situation right now."
"Ok perfect, that's what I wanted to talk about actually"
"Oh?"
"Yeah, him and I hung out a bit so I was thinking, you know? Like, if I was in his shoes, it'd probably be more comfortable to work near someone I already know. At least until I get to know other people. So, would there be any way his desk could be near mine?"
"That's really thoughtful of you Damien, I'll see what I can do." Selina smiled.
"Thank you so much, I gotta go. I have to get to set."
"Alright, I'll update you later on the desk situation."
"Ok, thank you!" I gave Selina a wave as I headed off for my first shoot of the day. We were filming a game for board af. As always it was kind of frustrating because it seemed like I was the only one who actually looked at and learned the rules, it still went alright though. It was about a forty minute shoot. After we had wrapped up I started back toward my desk but on the way there Selina stopped me.
“Hey, Damien, can I snagg you for a sec?”
“Yeah of course, what's up?” I changed my destination from my desk to hers.
“I was looking into what you said about Y/N’s desk set up and we can place his across from yours. So yalls desks would be like, facing each other. That sound good?”
“Mhm, yeah, that’d work great thank you so much!”
“Yeah no problem, glad I could help!”Just as I started back toward my desk, my phone rang. I quickly pulled my phone out of my pocket to look at the caller ID. It was Y/N. I answered it as I sped back to my desk.
“Hey Y/N, what's up?”
“Not too much at the moment, BUT, I got the call this morning! I'm so excited to work at smosh!”
“So am I! Shayne and I knew you would so it's no shock but it's still so great to have it set in stone now!”
“Yeah! I did have, um, a little bit of a question though. Well not really a question, just something I wanted to talk about?”
“Yeah, what's up?”
“Well, you see, I was uh, I was just wondering if there was some way my desk could be near yours? Just till I get to know everyone and everything. I think it would make me more comfortable since we already know each other? If not, that's ok. Maybe I could be near shane? I just kind of want some sense of familiarity till I know more people at least.” I chuckled a bit to myself. I was kind of proud that I had already thought of that. Him and I only spent a day together but we were already on the same wavelength.
“Well I'm one step ahead of you there!”
“What do you mean?” He laughed presumably out of confusion, awkwardness, nervousness, or some combination of the three.
“I just got done talking to Selina, our office manager, about that actually. Your desk is going to be across from mine.”
“Oh! Oh that's great! You read my mind!” He paused to let out a belly laugh. “That's perfect, thank you Damien.”
“Yeah dog, no problem. Do you know when you're starting?"
"Yeah, I'll be there tomorrow! I'm kinda nervous but really excited too!"
"Yeah for sure, totally get that. I can help you out, show you the ropes and all."
"Yesss, thank you so much Damien! You're the best!!"
"It's no sweat bro. Well, I got to go. I'll see you tomorrow though!"
"Mhm! Bye!"
"Bye bye." Once I got off the phone with Y/N I checked my call sheets for the day's videos again and went off to my next shoot. The day went smoothly and I was excited for Y/N to start working here. Tomorrow will be great.
