7: Lets Do This

A/N: I had to cut down this chapter so I could post it on time, sorry. It's still my normal average length so it shouldn't really matter but yeah.

I woke up early and surprisingly wasn't cranny and exhausted like I always am. I still immediately poured myself some coffee though, I didn't want to end up with a headache. I then started going through the checklist I had made, coffee in hand.

I laid out everything on my bed so I could see it:

Computer and charger?

Check.

Lunch?

In the fridge, won't check it off till it's in my bag.

Change of clothes?

Check, plus another extra shirt.

Pencil?

Check.

Eraser?

Check.

Pen?

Check.

I put everything in my backpack as well as a folder in case I'd need it. Then I got dressed. Some stone washed black jeans, a light blue ribbed tank top, a white zip up hoodie (unzipped), and some light blue converse to tie it all together. Casual and cute. I put my glasses on as I walked out into the kitchen, taking my backpack with me. "Someone's up early." Alex said from the couch.

"Well what did you expect? I start work today, I've gotta get my shit together!" I laughed as I put my backpack down and put my lunch in it that I had made the night before.

Check.

"That's fair but you're usually a monster when you wake up! Especially before you've had coffee!" Alex joined me in the kitchen.

"Who said I didn't have coffee?" I started filling up a water bottle as we talked.

"Wait, you did? How early did you get up? I didn't see you grab it!"

"I've been up since six." I got some frozen fruit out to make a smoothie.

"Damn, how out of character!" Alex laughed. I rolled my eyes and turned on the blender. Once I was happy with my smoothie I put it in the to-go cup I always use for my smoothies and put my water bottle in the cup holder of my backpack. Then I made sure I had my wallet, keys, chapstick, and phone in my pockets. It wasn't even eight yet so I had some time to kill. The studio is only fifteen minutes away and work doesn't start till nine. I am showing up early though, so is Damien so he can help me out a bit, but still we're only going fifteen minutes earlier than normal. Alex and I sat on the couch. They put on a random smosh video and I was texting Damien while I drank my smoothie.

Hey Damien, you're still going into :Me the office early right?

Damien: Yeah of course! 8:45 right?

Yeah! :Me

Damien: Great! I'll see you then

I finished my smoothie and put my cup in the sink. It was eight twenty so I had ten more minutes to kill. I just sat and watched the video Alex had put on. It was some of the members coming up with weird and complicated solutions to easy problems. It was entertaining. Before I knew it, my alarm for 8:30 went off. I got up from the couch, grabbed my bag, and checked my pockets to make sure I still had everything. "Welp, I should get going. I'm meeting up with Damien early to kind of learn the ropes and get myself situated at the office." Alex paused the TV and turned to me.

"Ooooh, Damien huh?~" Alex responded mockingly.

"Oh shush, we're just friends."

"Already friends, ey?"
