Before I met You

Chapter Four

Nathan sighed for what seemed like the upteenth time in ten minutes. He checked his watch again which read 10 minutes past 5. He groaned. He was supposed to meet Elaine ten minutes ago for his so called lessons with her. They had been having them for the past week and they were going well. He didn't care about what she taught cause it sounded stupid teaching someone how to socialize what he actually liked about them was seeing Elaine. He liked how she talked . Her aura , her voice. He strangely liked spending time with her yet he didn't like girls. He always thought of them as irrational clingy and demanding but that wasn't Elaine. She just seemed to amuse him. Everytime she got angry and quarreled at him for not paying attention during lessons and when he came late for the lessons he thought she looked cute . Infact to him she looked cutest when she was mad. Today was different though he really wanted to go early and make her happy today for a reason he doesn't know . Unfortunately for him , his teacher decided to have an extension. Frustrated he stood up and walked out of class without asking for permission. " Where do you think your going Mr Walkers?" the teacher asked. " Out" he replied walking out of the room without even looking back . He walked hastily towards the art room where Elaine and him agreed to meet every evening. It was convenient cause it was a secluded room hence no one could see them together. He opened the door to the art room and found Elaine seated on the chair checking her watch with a frustrated face . "Your late again Nathan." Elaine said. " Am sorry i didn't mean to see this story is really funny u see my teacher had this extension and... " Nathan tried to explain. " Save it" Elaine interrupted him" I don't care about what happened and why your late again Nathan. The thing is am tired of you coming late. I know that you don't like these lessons as much as i do but at least try to care" Elaine complained. Nathan looked at her not knowing what to do . She looked so pissed that he didn't want to anger her the more. He smiled to himself. How does he not want to yell at her?. How could he allow her to argue at him? Normal Nathan would have stormed out or shouted back at her because he doesn't care about girls but there was Elaine shouting at him and he was doing nothing. "So now your smiling huh you think this is a joke?" Elaine interrupted his thoughts. That's when he remembered he smiled to himself. Oh shit he just pissed her off again. " See Nathan i think its best we stop having these lessons cause its not getting anywhere" Elaine said and picked up her bag and left leaving a confused Nathan alone. " Damn i just made her quit." Nathan said to himself. He was surprised he actually felt bad. "She will come around"he  convinced himself to lessen the guilt. " She's a girl after all"
