Chapter six

Today, Friday was the day Nathan was going to fix things with Elaine . He hadn't spoken to her the whole day because she was avoiding him . It was lunch time and he was determined to at least have a conversation with her . Currently he was in the cafeteria with his boys who were talking about some movie but he wasn't paying attention to them. For the second time he was distracted from listening to their conversation because of Elaine. First time was when she had just come . He was one of the people who weren't spared by her confident aura. He looked at her in awe and had actually thought she was cute. " Someone is looking at the new girl with loving eyes" Zack, one of his boys had teased him. " Guess the new girl has managed to crack the heart of the bad boy" another one teased. " Shut up you fools" Nathan replied and glared at Elaine so that he can hide the loving eyes they had told him but it didn't help with the blush that had crept up his cheeks. That was when Elaine caught him glaring. He felt his heart skip a beat but in order not to look intimidated, he intensified
his glare. There was just something about her that he didn't seem to get. Like she was hiding something Behind that tough demeanor of hers or even that happy face she shows to other people that he really wanted to find out . Now here he was waiting for Elaine to come for lunch and he fixes things. Nathan Walkers known for disliking girls wanted to get a girl's apology and he was going to work hard to get it. Right on cue Elaine entered the cafeteria and went to the counter to get her tray of food. Nathan hastily stood up and went to stand next to her. " Hey youuu. Here for lunch" Nathan said while putting his arm around her shoulder. " What are you doing?" Elaine asked " Is it wrong for me to talk to my tutor ?" Nathan asked  arching his eyebrows. Elaine rolled her eyes and turned to leave but Nathan quickly took her tray and held it in one hand and his in another . " C'mon let's go eat our lunch" he said as he led her to a table . She grumpily followed him and sat down. Everyone in the cafeteria was staring at the two of them. They were all wondering how Nathan is sitting with a girl and talking to her like friends. Many girls felt jealous cause they always wanted to talk to him even a hi from him would mean a lot but he always gave them a blind eye . Elaine tried to leve but Nathan had held her hand on the table she tried to pull it away but he only strengthened his grip. The hand touching sent a different message to everyone in the cafeteria. " Nathan" Elaine cried " what" Nathan asked innocently. " Everyone is staring" she whispered " let them its not every day people get to talk to me so consider yourself lucky" Nathan smirked " well i don't care" Elaine said " anyways try to leave and they will look at your every movement until you reach the free table over there right across the room who knows maybe you will even fall from all the stares" Nathan said shrugging very well knowing she hates public attention. Elaine huffed and grumpily ate her food. Anyone seeing these two would think they were having a date because Nathan was so free with her. Even his boys were looking at Nathan astonishingly except Zack who just smirked 'nice move Nathan nice move' he thought
