ZAC POV

I haven't seen percy since first period. I wonder where he is.

In math he was acting very strange like I think he said the teacher was a pedo. How come Rita let her teach at this school if she really was that.

Percy finally showed up during 3rd period. biology.

Five minutes late.

"Sorry I'm late, I was in the principal's office and then I got lost".

The teacher was in no way thrilled but sighed and replied and said it was completely fine and they hoped he wasn't in Rita's office because he was misbehaving.

"Alright where was I? So, as I was saying before this semester we will be focusing on marine biology."

Percy glanced at Annabeth and his smile broadened.

"Now I understand some of my students are already interested in the subject" she looks over at me and Percy. "So I expect you to be working at a high standard" I didn't realise Percy was into marine biology. The only reason I got into it was because on my swims around mako I'd always find all kinds of cool fish and sea life. I know Percy loves swimming so maybe he has the same reason.

At lunch Percy and annabeth were sitting on a table by themselves. We asked them if they wanted to sit at our table where they politely declined.

Annabeth is so smart, she did so well in every subject and her hand would shoot up every time a teacher would ask the class a question.

Percy was the complete opposite. He tried to concentrate on class, but he couldn't. He kept fiddling with a pen in his hands but when it actually came to writing he'd use a different pen. Because of his dyslexia he asked for blue coloured paper, but our chemistry teacher got annoyed at him for asking so he had to use white paper instead. I feel bad she's always like that. She has something against me specifically which doesn't help either.

I look at Evie, "there's something up with my cousin "

"What do you mean?" She asks.

I sigh, "I don't know it's just the fact he missed the entirety of period two and wasn't out at break either, apparently he was in Rita's office but why" I take a breath at exclaim, "it just doesn't make sense, like at all, there's something suspicious about my cousin and I'm going to find out what it is!"

Cam zones into the conversation, "you know dude, maybe you could just talk to him?"

Evie nods, "for once I actually agree with cam you could just ask him about it."

"Fine"

I get up and walk across to Percy and Annabeth's table.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" I ask them and Percy nods.

"What about your friends?" Annabeth asks.

"They don't mind, why are you guys sitting by yourself, why don't you want to sit at our table".

Annabeth explains that they still don't know my friends that well and they'd be more comfortable if it was just them or with just me.

That seemed fair enough.

We sit awkwardly for a few minutes while eating our lunches. I decided to break the silence.

"Soo um, Percy why were you in the principals office for so long, are you okay?"

I see a look of panic on Percy's face I've made the same face multiple times in the past, trying to think of a good lie or excuse as quick as possible. Why would he lie. Did something happen with him and Rita? What if he saw her tail?! No! That's not what happened, he clearly had an issue with the math teacher and wanted to discuss it with her. Nothing magical or unusual happened. I'm just overthinking everything. My cousin is definitely hiding something but it's probably not a big deal, nothing on the scale of my secret at least.

"Oh, it's nothing to worry about i just bumped into her in the hallway on my way to English and she wanted to check in on me to see how me and Annie are getting on."

Wow he really is a terrible liar. I mean seriously there's no way that would've taken that long. I need to find out what's going on.

Maybe I should just Google him. I can't believe I only just thought about that. I'll do some research when I get home. I'll definitely still be telling my sister though, mimmi will know what to do. I'll also have to ask Rita. Worst case scenario I will end up spying on Percy.

I feel guilty about thinking the worst of him but what's the worst that could happen. It's not like Percy Jackson is a wanted criminal or I dunno a god? for all I know he could have an entirely different secret life or just be a completely normal guy.

I'm just scared of what the truth might be.

A/n Sorry this chapter is probably not as good as the others like I said before I started writing this months ago and then I had no clue where to go with it so this is kind of filler. Also hopefully should upload new chapter every Monday now.
