In the evening, as you prepared to depart, I wished to stop you, hold your hand, and start, To call your name, but my heart turned blue, For I couldn't express my love to you.
You chose to leave that day, without a goodbye, Leaving me feeling down, I can't deny. I hated how it made me feel so low, So now, I hold myself back, as you know.
I hope you understand why I've withdrawn, I don't want anyone to have this strong Effect on me, causing such deep distress, So I've stopped myself, I must confess.
I tried my best, but couldn't let it be, To show you how much you mean to me. Yet, now I choose to keep my feelings hidden, Hoping you'll understand the love forbidden.
