Swimming Together

Chapter 2

~16 years old~

I swam as fast as I could away from all the jerks that tried to pick a fight with me I swam as fast as I could I looked back and saw them until I bumped with one of the guards I fell back and my cloack fell of and the guard was surprise.

"Princess!?" he said "I've been looking for you!"

I looked back to see them glare at me but they bowed down and then swam away I sighed and I looked at the guard with sad eyes.

"Princess if they are causing you trouble why not tell your father?" he asked

"Because am too nice to do it I will feel guilty and I would let them go like I did last time" I answered as I looked back

I looked at him and I knew he wasn't those type who cared nobody cared about me but the guards get paid to be nice to me and the mer-people. I sighed and I started to swam up towards my room I didn't want to see father and mother when I reached to my room Mary was making a mess of it.

"Mary what in the coral reef?" I asked confused

"Where is it?" she asked mad

I was confused "Where is what?"

"The Tiara! Where is it?" she swam to me and faced me she was real mad

"The gold one you do know you left it in moms room" I told her calm

"Mom said she gave it to you" she turned my bed

I moved my hands at her and ask "Wait wait wait... Mom? She gave to me? When did that happen?"

She opened and took out my drawers and then she swam to the top mirror and moved it to find a whole in the wall with a small chest in it. I quickly reacted and pushed her away and grabbed the small chest. I opened it to see the locket with no picture on it I smiled knowing it hasn't really rotten but that meant it was really made of gold.

My sister tried snatching it away but I dropped the chest and grabbed the necklace and held it against my chest and I looked at her. She looked curious and she extended her hand to me meaning to give it to her which I denied.

"Give it!" she told me I denied with my head again and I started to swim towards the window she was getting mad. "I said GIVE IT!"

She swam towards me and I dodged her making my sister crash into the wall and get more mad at me and I swam towards mom and dads office to find them checking in some paper work. I swam to them and I hid behind them from fear and I looked at them as I trembled.

Mary slammed the door open and swam towards me and I ended up swimming in circles dad quickly grabbed Mary while I swam away from there and towards the rock. I sat down and smiled as I saw every one swimming and playing while I looked at my necklace and cleaned the dirt off of it.

I put both hands and I smiled as I watched everyone swim until I heard a squick kind of sound and I looked aside to see a dolphin with some kind of toy while swimming in the surfice with some dog and a human girl with something wrapped around her.

I swam towards them but I didn't surface I got behind a rock and I picked my head and I saw no human just the little girl and the waves were strong for her and I senced something wrong and I looked at the far side to see a shark swimming towards the little girl.

I swam under water and I looked at the shark and it was really swimming straight to the girl the dolphin alone can't handle the shark. I swam towards it but it had pulled the little girl down and I had tackled it making it let her go it shook its head the little girl fought to swim but she opened her eyes and she saw me I was scared but I was terrified about the shark.

The swam to the shore and I saw it run the dolphin swam to help the little girl the shark tried attacking me but I smaked it with my tail and I glared at it and then dad's guards appeared scaring the shark away making slump down and I swam to the  shore I looked around I didn't see anybody.

She saw the dolphin trying to put her on shore but can't so I swam to it and I crawled away from the water and crawled the scared girl that wasn't moving. When I was on shore I quickly presured the small girls chest getting all the water out of her and I smiled when I heard the girl cough.

I heard people and I went back in the water real fast before they spotted me I swam to the rock and I picked my head to see who were the people screaming and when I saw they were parents and some others worried and they picked the little girl up as she still coughed a bit of salt water.

I smiled at her she was ok suddenly I was pulled down and I looked to see dad.

"Moisha what did you do?" Dad sounded mad

"I saved a little girls life from a shark" I answered

"Did the parents see you?" Dad was worried

"Am not stupid dad I saved her and left ok now get of my fin" I told him as I started to swim away

"Moisha you have to stay were we can keep a close eye on you" Dad said behind me

I grabbed the necklace and I turned around and I said feeling mad "Nobody cares about me dad so  leave me alone and I am not a gupy anymore I am almost grown up so leave me alone for once"

He looked broken but I swam away when I saw that the sun was going down I looked around and started to swim to the dolphins. Ever since I found that spot I have been feeling better but ever since the per-people saw me when dad put cold spunge in my head they started to call me River Mermaid.

I sighed with relief as I felt the river touch my skin I gave a spin and I started to swim.

~17 years old~

Dad walked in with the food that step-mom ordered my little brother ran around the house while I just look at my Step-Brother play some weird shit but I looked away and walked to eat something but dad ruffled my hair and told me that I need a haircut that it looks a mess like it always which I responded leave me alone.

"Wow David put this on" Dad gave me some glasses

I put them on and asked "Why?"

"Oh fuck you look even more ugly with those on" he told me

I got mad "Why the fuck you told me to fucking put them on"

I took the glasses of and threw them on the floor and stepped on them with anger and I walked to my room as I heard my dads voice and I slammed the door shut and I locked it.

I looked outside and it was dark it was perfect to drink I changed into some basketball pants and a sleeveless T-shirt and some sandals I carried my back pack with me with some snacks I went out and walked towards my hide out I wanted to be alone as always but it was normal when it comes to getting drunk and not remembering what I do but knowing myself I would just looked at the sky and pass out.

Today I didn't want to get drunk I wanted to be calm and have a good swim. When I saw nobody around not even looking threw the window I entered the grass and rock path.

I heard someone singing and it made me go faster the song sounded beautiful but I fell and I saw her and she saw me. She got scared and went underwater and disappeared I ran to her but I looked at the water and she was gone. I was confused but she did leave a necklace behind with a picture of herself in it and I grabbed it and putted it on and looked around but I only heard the bushes move but the nothing.

"Who was she?" I asked to myself lowly
