EMMA'S POV::
I ruffled my blonde hair for the last time before leaving the house. I guess you could call me homeless since I was left alone at the age of three and have no contact with any family member since then. The Walker family found me and took me with them when they moved from NYC to London. No one is ever home so I'm pretty independant for 15. As I left the house, my feet took me to the exact same place I go everyday. The corner coffee shop.
"One hot chocolate, please," I told the young cashier. He looked no younger than 16.
"That will be five Euros, please," he replied in a velvety voice, holding out his hand for the money. I handed him the five Euros and he gave me my hot chocolate. I started towards the door to find a seat outside when I heard him yell, "wait! Eric, I'm taking my break now! Wait up!" I knew for a fact he wasn't talking to me. Why would anyone say wait to a plain-faced, blonde-haired girl? I nearly spilled my drink when he appeared beside me.
CHARLIE'S POV::
The next girl in line was strikingly beautiful. She had wavy, blonde hair, sparkling green eyes and no makeup to hide herself.
"One hot chocolate, please," she asked and in less than three minutes, she was out the door after she paid.
"Wait! Eric, I'm taking my break now! Wait up!" I quickly stripped off my apron and jumped over the counter then ran after her. I caught her by surprise by the outside tables. Her reaction was cute. "I'm Charlie," I extended my hand and she shook it shyly.
"I'm Emma," she replied, smiling.
EMMA'S POV::
Charlie licked his lips then smiled.
"That's a nice name. Emma," I giggled then abruptly stopped, thinking back to Jack and what happened.
"What's wrong?" he asked. I began to explain but stuttered. I groaned and Charlie patted my shoulder.
"It's ok. You can tell me." I nodded slowly.
"Just not here."
