chpt. 5

Kiss after kiss I started to get bored of watching and decided to go for a drink. I reached the kitchen to get a glass of water to get my mind off everything.

It's no big deal, it's not like they'll automatically become a thing after that kiss, right?

Gaslighting myself isn't gonna help with anything, I sip some water and place the glass back on the kitchen island.

I hear someone's footsteps coming closer towards me and to my surprise, it's Conan.

"Hey Thea, you okay? I know it felt weird to see him kiss another girl infront of you." Conan said

"Yeah, I'm all good, just got a bit thirsty you know" I said trying to hold back jealousy

"Hey, we can go just chill at the couch with everyone else if you want. Spin the bottle gets more and more boring as the years add up."

I nodded and walked to the living space with Conan where our other friends greeted us.

"Hey lovebirds ;)" As soon as those words spit out of Blake's mouth I automatically knew it was him.

Blake was Conan's friend first until he introduced us, we didn't "click" like regular friends do but he had a nice and funny vibe that made me like him. He's also shipped me and Conan for as long as I can remember.

"Blake when will you ever give it up." Conan playfully argues

"Hey Thea, I saw what happened with Chris and Ever back there..." Another voice spoke lightly

It was Haven, a friend of mine since elementary school. She's a very quiet person but once you get to know her, she talks like there's a whole audience to please. Before high school she'd always have my back and just like her name, she was my safe haven.

"I don't really wanna think about it." I say brushing it off

"It's alright... One day I bet Chris will realize the girl that's meant for him was always infront of him this entire time." Haven says comforting me.

I smile at Haven hoping what she said will come to reality, we quickly switch the subject as I settle down next to Blake and Haven.

Laughter fills within the group until Chris comes running into the living space, his face is a little red which made him look a little bit cuter than before. He looks like he's in a panic and quickly calls Conan to come with him.

I feel a vibration coming from my hand bag, it's a text from my mom saying she's here to pick me up. I say goodbye to Haven and Blake, got up and walked towards the door. I was going to say goodbye to Conan and maybe Chris but they seemed too busy, I didn't wanna interrupt.
