Many long hours and periods after, the bell for lunch rang. I ran out my second period class to meet my friends at our usual lunch table.
As I make my way to our table, I see a bunch of year 2s have already occupied the space. Haven comes from right behind me seeing the table being fully booked, then Blake, then Conan.
"What are we gonna do?" I ask with my stomach rumbling
"We kick them out" Blake suggests with a mischievous smile on his face
"Let's just go find somewhere else to sit, I'm not in the mood to argue with younger grades" Conan mutters
We all nodded and decided to just sit at the tables outside the school. Nothing wrong with a little bit of Mother Nature.
We all settle down and start eating some lunch, Haven with her rice and chicken with fruits and veggies in a bento box that she's had since grade 4, Blake with a burger and fries meal from the cafeteria, Conan with his silly spaghetti noodles, and me with a half-assed croissant sandwich that I didn't wanna spend too much time on.
Our group was smaller than most friend groups in our grade. But I think the smaller the better, less people get left out and we can all fit at a lunch table together without having to leave someone alone in their own table.
"So... Thea, why haven't you been responding to anyone's texts? Did you go rogue or something?" Conan asked teasingly
"Looks like someone didn't get a response from their beloved girlfriend" Blake laughed
Conan kicks his leg making him release a small groan and a cuss word.
I laugh at Blake and eventually replied to Conan explaining how I got caught on my phone during first period and my teacher made me give up my phone for the day.
Conan's face turns from neutral to surprised, he quickly goes on his phone to text someone, although I couldn't see who he was texting. Weird.
"Anyways, Thea, I saw that Chris dude and Ever walking together on my way to the cafeteria. You think they're a thing?" Blake says trying to spark something in me.
I roll my eyes and kick him at the same area where Conan kicked him at first, making Haven giggle.
But was Blake speaking the truth? Would Chris and Ever really be dating over a small spin the bottle kiss? There's no way, it can't be.
