It was the end of the school day and I was heading back to my Biology class to pick up my phone. I got to admit, being phoneless was hard but relieved me of the stress of deadline notifications popping up. As I walk through the halls, I look outside and notice it's raining.

Shit.

The forecast didn't call for any rainy weather, especially not this type of rain. It wasn't just a few drops, it was full-on hard rain. How am I supposed to get home? I have no umbrella or coat, my parents both have work and I'm pretty sure anyone who can give me a ride at school has already left the building. I could call for a taxi or something but I'm broke and have no phone.

Shaking my head, I continue walking to class not knowing I was about to crash into another person.

Looking up I quickly spit out the words "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking around my surroundi-" I released a small gasp of realization. Somehow, I had bumped into Chris. Shit. Again.

"Oh not a problem, I guess I wasn't looking straight either, hah" Chris says with a grin cradling his neck just like at the party

"Yeah aha.." I say as silence fills the hallway. "Well I better get going" I added trying to escape the awkward semi discussion

Chris nods and we walk opposite of each other. Finally I make it to the class, I knock at the door only to realize my Biology teacher had left already, with my phone still on the desk. Just my luck.

I walk around the school looking for a custodian to see if they could open the classroom for me. I spot one and they agree to help me. Maybe my good karma is finally coming around.

I quickly grab my phone and thank the custodian. I guess I made a new friend.

But it still leaves me wondering on how I'm gonna make it home. The rain was still pouring hard and asking the custodian for a lift seems like pushing it. I decide to sit down on the stairs to make a plan. All this planning made me yawn and I slowly shut my eyes to nap.

Eight minutes into that "power" nap, I feel a tap on my shoulder coming from behind. It's Chris. Of course. I quickly wiped off the little droplets of drool off my face, I hope he didn't see them.

"Hey, wakey wakey sleepyhead. Why are you still here?" He asks as I notice his eyes softening

He's so cute.

"Um, I was figuring out how I was gonna go home but I accidentally dozed off. I guess that party really did a number on me." I respond

"Ohh, I see... I have an umbrella in my locker and if you'd like, we can go to the bus stop together." Chris suggests smiling

There it was, his dimples. I could look at him smile forever.
I have got to snap out of it one day.

"Yes that would be great, thank you Christopher!"

He helps me up and we walk to his locker. Not like I don't already know the way to it.
