I was in Sam's office, which was located in the corporation's huge all-glass building on Convention Center Plaza, one of the most imposing structures in the area. Sam was a long-standing friend and business partner, and we were discussing a problem related to our latest project. As we talked, I could see that he was becoming visibly calmer, but we still needed to clarify a few concepts.

Our quiet conversation was interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. Glancing at the screen, I saw that it was my head of security, Taylor. He was one of those people who would only call when there was something extraordinary and important to say, so his call immediately put me on edge.

"What is it, Taylor?" I asked.

"Sir, I request your immediate arrival at the mansion," he replied.

"What happened?" I pressed, my worry growing.

There was a pause on the other end of the line.

"Taylor?!" I raised my voice.

"Sir...I'm just begging you to come home immediately," he finally replied, his tone serious and urgent.

"Taylor, don't test my patience! Where is she?" I asked, because I knew if he didn't want to tell me over the phone, it had to do with Bia. I was sure. My heart began to beat faster, which I could already hear in my ears. I started sweating and pacing the room like an irritated lion in a cage.

"She's escaped, sir. But ..."

"Escaped...?" I cut him off quietly and then continued more loudly: "Escaped?! Escaped?! Taylor, we've got security bigger and better trained than the Queen of Britain. And you're telling me that Beatrice escaped?"

I was already running to the elevators of the building. I didn't even turn to look at Sam, but I knew he would understand me.

"Taylor, when I get there, I'm gonna to crush your face, you hear me?!" I shouted at him as I was already leaving the building. Carter, clearly alerted by Taylor, was opening the door of the Lincoln for me.

"I will take the consequences, sir," he replied.

I hung up on him. I couldn't contain my rage. 'Why, Bia, why are you doing this to me?' I slammed my fist into the passenger seat in front of me. I was beyond furious.

'You have no freaking idea what I'm going to do to you once I find you, my sweet fucking wife!'

When I tell Carter we have to get somewhere fast, we get there fast. No matter what. We were already going through the gates at breakneck speed, and Carter didn't slow down until we were in front of the building's entrance. I jumped out of the car and made my way as quickly as possible to one of the rooms designated as Taylor's office. I stormed into the room like the Devil himself, and the sight before me puzzled me...
