Thanks so much for everyone still reading, but if anyone has a problem I would really appreciate feedback. The number of reads gets progressively less with each chapter its depressing.

Anna
I walked around the makeshift camp weaving through soldiers while they stood perfectly still, like statues carved from marble or stone only their expressions mirrored showed any indication that they could be more. The wind was still howling and as I had no idea when or even if the immobility would last, the only reason I thought it would wear off was the fact that my other power didn't have any long lasting effect.
I moved back to my position next to John now that I seem unable to stop using my power I have to find a way for me to get rid of it. At the moment my only recourse would be Claire and I really didn't want to have any contact with her. The only thing was that she was lesser of two evils for the time being especially when she thought I would do her bidding.
"....so just stop whatever you're doing Anna,". John came out of the trance still yelling at me, but got flustered when the wind died down as soon as they all became mobile again. He blinked a couple of times like he wasn't sure was happened but still looked at me warily because even if he wasn't sure what happened he knew enough that I would be the one responsible.
"We have to talk John, if you'll excuse us captain". Now that I had some sort of idea of what I want, I want to get it done as possible and even if we don't agree on everything I know that I'll always have John on my side. "What is it Anna? Anything wrong? You need help with anything?". He says as soon as we far enough from the soldiers and I could feel a warmth by his concern. I don't think I'll ever be able to let go of John even if its for his own benefit. I can't go on without him, he's my lifeline, my anchor even if that make me feel so selfish.
"John I don't think I've ever really thanked you..." I was still busy talking when he held up his hand. "What is it Anna, is something wrong? Did something happen back there? You know the sooner you tell me what's wrong the sooner we can work on how to fix it".
John is always so concern for me. I could feel the skin on my cheeks tighten as I couldn't fight the smile. I reach over and grab his hand which momentarily stuns him into silence. "No John nothing is wrong at least not at the moment, but I do want to talk to you". He nods and grips my hand harder, waiting for me to continue. "I thought about what you said, about Claire" I clarified further to set his mind at ease, but while I was talking he was using his thumb to rub the back of my hand absent-minded. I think back to when we got back from Diaz and to what I thought he was going to say.
I put my other hand on his arm and he finally stops moving his thumb, but looks down to my hand on his arm. I step closer looking into his eyes, searching for answers."Anna?". He whispers and I could tell he was confused, but I didn't know what I was doing either. Was this just my way of making sure that he stays?.
John was staring into my eyes and he was leaning closer and closer until I could make out the dark circle surrounding his iris then my eyes flickered to his lips, but immediately back up again and I felt like I was drowning in their depths.
"What are you doing?". John was leaning closer and closer but captain Amos shout brought him up short. I was just as flustered by the interruption, but John looked like he could murder the captain. "What do you want?". If I thought that these two didn't like each other before I was mistaken compared to the looks they were giving one another now. "Captain is there something that you need?". I tried to soften John's harsh words.
