Kristlyn pov
By the time Shae and Arlo were finally ready for the meeting to begin, more than half the day had wasted away.

I led down the passage to the meeting room. Well not actually the meeting room that still needed to be repaired from the last time my brother and I had a conversation (he steals the throne in my one moment of weakness and thinks I'll let it slide that easily)

Today we'll be discussing in the throne room, with extra chairs.

The doors open as I approach and I smile at my half brother Damion as I enter.

If anyone thought my rivalry with Arlo was bad they'd clearly never seen him when he tried to pull Damion's brain matter out through his eye sockets. He forgave him after a while (for existing that is), they're good friends now but there's a certain pain no amount of apologies can ever fix.

The same with Arlo and I. Beyond politics our bond is as good as any set of siblings sure we're no clones of Kaia and Kai but we work well together when it comes down to it.

"Kris?" Rena waves a hand in front of my gave as I come back into focus. I raise an eyebrow at her in question.

"We were all wondering where you were this whole time?" She asked obviously repeating and earlier statement.

"Not important. " I wave her off.  "What's important right now is that the sirens are scheming. Not the ones of the kingdom either. We need to eliminate them before they make more  problems for all of us." I say gesturing to the map that they must've laid out before the meeting.

"And what army do you want me to waste down there sister dearest?" Arlo sneered and asked. As if the bastard couldn't afford to supply any army.

"The four of us obviously. " I smile. "Or maybe the three of you I could stay here and tidy things up." Now smirk. Arlo stood up in an outrage.

"You'll do no such I thing. "
