Sean's P.O.V:
Holding up my camera, I zoomed in using the lens from my window onto the street. There is a strange black car parked on the driveway in front of the house next to mine. Through my camera lens, I saw the family carrying large suitcases out of the car boot and into the house.
I watched closely as I tried to identify who those random strangers are who pulled up to the house next to us.
A mom, a dad, an older sister, a brother, and a younger sister stepped out of the car. A dog soon followed them in as well, black coat and definitely way larger than Oreo.
Just as I was looking at who the youngest sibling in the whole family was, a soft but audible knock can be heard on my bedroom door.
"Yes?" I called out.
"I'm baking something for the new neighbours, wanna help out?" My mom asked from the other side of the closed door.
I rushed to my bedroom door and opened it without hesitation. With the camera still in my hand, I ran down the stairs, never a foot missing a single step. I skip the last three steps by replacing it with a huge leap of faith, as I always do.
"What are we making today?" I asked and panned the camera around the whole kitchen.
"Blueberry muffins, a family favourite. Could you help grab some butter from the refrigerator? And also the jar of sugar on the counter while you are at it. Thanks, Sean." Mom said, and I quickly got to work to retrieve the ingredients.
Placing both the butter and sugar on the table for her, I was tasked with mixing up the muffin batter. The dry ingredients go in first, followed by the wet ingredients. Mix and mix and mix.
I positioned the camera so that it could see both me and Mom working hard in the kitchen to craft the finest bluberry muffins anyone would ever see and taste.
"I heard that the youngest sibling from the family moving in is also a dancer. Her name was...Kay...Kaycee?" Mom said, as she took the bowl of well-mixed batter from my hands to pour into the muffin tray.
"Kaycee. Her name sounds interesting." I commented as I intently watch the muffin batter being poured into their individual sections.
"You should get to know her. Dancers need to build connections, right? You guys can go to dance classes together too, so you don't have to complain about going to one alone." Mom added, smiling widely at me.
"Mhm I will." I replied and nodded.
Once the muffins were in, I ran back upstairs, once more with my camera to check up on the new neighbours...from afar.
My eyes quickly found its way to her figure. Her brunette hair that shined beautifully under the golden sunlight. I noticed a smile running across her face when one of her siblings said something to her. It soon turned into a wider smile and finally a wholehearted laugh.
God, the way she laughed made my heart skip a beat. And I haven't heard how she laughed yet.
As much as the sunlight coming through the window I was looking through was shining into my eye, I found myself impossible to look away from her figure.
