——2 days before thanksgiving——
Eddie's pov
I have been broken without yn in my arms. I don't even remember how to function. I heard by Dustin she's coming to town, we'll she's already here I just haven't got the guts to go see her. I've been hooking up with this girl named Star and she's pretty weird.
She only uses me for sex but, I'm not gonna go that far with her. I don't even really like her. I just pretend she's yn sometimes to get yn off my mind.
I decided to head over to lovers lake for some time alone with Star to tell her I want to stop seeing each other. She saw the necklace and ring I gave yn but I refused for her to even look at it. She's not allowed to touch yn's stuff. Especially the rings she left.
We walk over to an empty spot near the lake and watch the clouds move across the blue sky. The lake was beautiful today. Especially with all of the orange, red and yellow leaves on the trees reflecting over it.
"Look Star. I've been think-" I hear voices from the distance.
"No! Logan you have to actually be at a lake or a body of water to skip rocks. It's not possible to do it without water!" I hear a familiar voice. "Look here's my spot I normally go to with my boy-I mean my old friend." It's yn. No fucking way. I watch her walking over holding hands with this really ugly guy. She hasn't noticed me yet.
"So yn what do you even do in this tiny town?" Logan asks her. Her face changes slightly.
"Well I normally went to the school and played D&D with my cousin.."
"And Eddie right?" He asks. She talks about me?
"Yeah..and Eddie. But I also hang out with my best friend Steve a lot. He's the best. I go to the diners for breakfast, see movies, I used to um have dinner nights with my dad but he disowned me." She laughs at the last sentence. This has got to be hard for her to talk about.
"Where did you go?" He asks throwing a rock in the lake.
"Well I stayed with Eddie. He was the best. Always cared for me, never let me down, we were going to do so much together. Get married, have wonderful kids. Grow old together." I see her tear up. "But I left. Again." A tear falls down her cheek.
"Eddie just speak!!" Star shouts making them turn their heads over to us. Yn's eyes go wide, making eye contact with her. She drops the rocks and stares at me. We both smile at each other. But we get interrupted by our "partners".
"Hey focus. He's dead to you." The fuck did he just say?
Regular pov
It was Eddie. The love of my life. "Yn he doesn't care about you anymore. Just leave it. We're together remember. Also that future was never going to really happen so." Logan laughs.
"Right." I skip a few more rocks and need time. "I'm gonna go on a walk." Eddies head turns hearing my words.
"I'll go with you." Logan smirks. I stop him.
"No, I'm going to a place only me and someone else could go to." He scoffs and kisses my cheek. I walk away and head to skull rock almost a mile away from the lake. I breathe heavily. I haven't thought about Eddie in a while. He looks so good. I just want to run into his arms and hug the living shit out of him.
"Yn?" His voice echoes through the woods. My eyes widen seeing him.
"Hi eds." Smiling and wiping a tear staring at him . He walks closer to me and leans on the rock.
"I missed you so much yn." He tears up. I nod my head smiling.
"Same here Ed's...so how's star?" His face changes hearing her name.
