It was the day of his release from RI's medical wing... again. His recovery had gone relatively smoothly all things considered, but he was still banned from taking part in any operations for a couple more weeks. Most likely something his 'sister' communicated with both the Doctor and Doctor Kal'tsit.
Yet during that entire time, he hadn't seen Lappland once. Not one visit of any kind, or at least those to his knowledge. Sometimes when he woke up there would be a pastry of some kind from the cafe they used to frequent together. According to Gavial and some of the other medical staff, this was from the silver-haired Lupo. Additionally, they told him that she had continued her visits during the night sometimes.
Hearing about this behavior simultaneously worried and relieved the male Archosaurian. On one hand, she appeared not to want to talk to him directly. And on the other, she still clearly cared about him as Gavial had mentioned previously.
Speaking of Gavial, her voice roused him from his thoughts. "You're thinking about her again aren't you Silas?"
The Medic was doing her final checkups on him before she let him loose from the Medical wing. Seeing him space out again mid-conversation was something she quickly picked up on. And just as easily she was able to guess the reasoning why.
He said nothing, only nodding lightly to her in response.
She gave him a worried look seeing his apprehension about the topic. "It'll turn out fine Silas I'm sure of it."
Letting out a deep breath he responded after that "I wish I shared your enthusiasm Gav. Also, what did I say about using my name when someone could hear it?"
Gavial rolled her eyes hearing this, gesturing to the empty medical room they were in, "Does it look like anyone's here with us?"
"The walls are thin in this room Gav..." The Sniper quickly replied.
"You're just being paranoid Silas." Gavial waved off his concern, clearly unconcerned herself.
The grey-haired Sniper huffed hearing her tone.
Gavial made her way over to the male and gestured for him to show her his shoulder wincing slightly internally he begrudgingly complied.
Taking a good long look at his shoulder she finally spoke, "It's getting worse Silas... don't tell me you did what I think you did..."
The Archosaurian could only look away guiltily in response.
Gavial seeing this, proceeded to sock him hard in the shoulder earning a surprised yelp from the Sniper. Rubbing his shoulder softly he looked at his 'sister.'
"How many times have I told you to specifically not do that Silas?"
"Too many times Gav... I didn't have a choice this time though ok? It was either use it or die..."
Gavial rubbed her temples in a frustrated manner, "At this rate Silas you're going to be leading yourself to an early grave without even needing Reunion's help..." Reaching down and touching his shoulder momentarily she spoke again, "You're also not going to be able to hide it anymore if you continue like this."
"I realize that Gav... I already have to almost constantly wear long sleeve shirts..." He muttered.
"Somebody's going to eventually see anyways Silas... You should know by now that it's not like that here... You're just creating more of a headache for yourself."
"The important people know Gav that's all that matters to me."
The Medic huffed hearing this and instead shook her head in disapproval grumbling to herself as she continued the checkup.
