The early morning light streamed through the curtains, gently rousing Océane from her slumber. She groaned, feeling a bit grumpy at being awoken so early, especially during her only break she's probably gonna get. But as she heard the persistent knocking on her door, her annoyance softened when she saw that it was Meg, her dear friend, standing outside."Meg, what brings you here so early in the morning?" Océane asked, rubbing her eyes sleepily.
Meg beamed, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I couldn't stay away any longer! It's been so long since we last spent time together, and I've missed you terribly."
Océane smiled warmly at her friend. It was true; she hadn't realized just how much time had passed since she began collaborating with Erik. The opera project had consumed her, leaving little time for socializing with her friends or even spending time with her mother.
"It has been a while, hasn't it?" Océane admitted. "Come in, come in! I'm so glad to see you."
Meg stepped inside, and Océane closed the door behind her, locking it to ensure their privacy. As they settled in the sitting area, Meg couldn't help but notice the dreamy look in Océane's eyes.
"You look positively enchanted, Océane. What's put that lovely sparkle in your eyes?" Meg inquired, genuinely curious.
Océane blushed, not wanting to reveal too much about her interactions with Erik. "Oh, it's just the excitement of composing some music lately and being able to have so much freedom!"
Meg grinned, happy to see her friend so elated. "That's amazing! Let's go out into the streets of Paris. We can visit the parks, indulge in some delicious pastries from the bakeries, and perhaps even have some ice cream."
Océane chuckled, delighted by Meg's infectious enthusiasm. "Ice cream sounds like a perfect idea."
With the plan set, Meg left Océane to get ready, and as she got dressed, Océane couldn't help but feel grateful for having such a caring and understanding friend. She put on a beautiful light blue dress adorned with white flowers, and a white bow that matched her vibrant orange hair. It was a perfect outfit for a day of leisure.
Once ready, she met Meg outside her room, and they set off together, strolling through the charming streets of Paris. Océane noticed how the city seemed to come alive with colors and sounds, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the simpler times, she and Meg explored the city hand in hand.
As they visited the parks, they chatted about their lives and shared laughter over trivial matters. Océane purposely avoided mentioning her collaboration with Erik, keeping the details of her time in his lair to herself. She didn't want to burden Meg with the knowledge of her mysterious mentor.
At the bakery, they indulged in sweet treats, and Océane found herself fully immersed in the joy of the moment. The worries and complexities of her recent life seemed to fade away as she savored the taste of a delicate pastry.
As they walked towards the ice cream shop, Océane's heart swelled with happiness. She hadn't realized how much she had missed these carefree days with a friend, it had been so long. It was like a breath of fresh air, bringing a renewed sense of life to her soul.
Inside the ice cream shop, they giggled like schoolgirls as they tried different flavors and playfully argued over which one was the best. Océane felt a sense of freedom and lightness, a feeling she hadn't experienced in a long time.
As the day drew to a close, Océane and Meg found themselves sitting by the Seine River, watching the sun dip below the horizon. The river sparkled like a ribbon of gold, and the city lights came to life, illuminating the beauty of Paris.
