Sebastian:

With every step I take towards the cottage, my curiosity grows stronger. Kate follows behind me as we peek through the window to get a better look. Once the coast is clear, we lift the window open and climb through. Luckily it isn't locked so getting inside isn't the hardest part. Once we get inside, I stand there frozen, shocked from what I am seeing. The cottage is spacious. It has windows with sunlight streaming through with the colours of all seasons, gracing the air with favour, illuminating the sweet-toffee browns of the wooden floor. The kitchen is the hues of light upon a cloud, with ravishing marble countertops. The dining room has a simple frame for a family dinner, with lavender-scented candles and white roses centred in the middle of the table. It is as if the scent of lavender has penetrated my blood and is playing a sweet song to my heart. Crystal chandeliers, marble tables, white wool couches. I know this design, this is Celine's dream home, the home we dreamt of for our family. As I step back to gather my thoughts a familiar face appears in front of me. My heart skips as I realize who it is. Celine.

"Sebastian," Celine calls. "I didn't know you would look for me." She adds as she slowly starts walking towards me. Her hair is down, wearing a tight black dress that goes all the way down to her knees. She is wearing yellow heels and matte pink lipstick that brings out her big brown eyes. I stand there looking at her, shocked at what has just come from her mouth. Look for her? She thought I wouldn't look for her? "Shocked"? I look into her eyes, searching for some type of answer.

"Why?" I say as I stare into her big auburn eyes.

"You were not meant to find me, Sebastian, you need to leave and forget that you ever met me." I don't know what to say, I can't believe this is happening, what she is saying. "I never loved you, Sebastian, you were just an excuse I used to leave my ex-husband." As those words puncture my heart, something doesn't feel right, something just feels very off.

"Let me touch you, one last time before I leave you, Celine, let me at least say goodbye," I whisper as I start walking towards her. Her breath quickens as I caress her face, outlining her lips with my thumb. Celine is everything my heart dreamt of. The first time I saw her I was speechless, from that moment I knew she would be mine and only mine. It was at the winter ball on December 5th. She came out wearing this blue dress that embraced her curves, perfectly bringing out her auburn eyes. She was elegant and joyful, attracting attention from everyone in the room. Mesmerizing. If she came to me with a face I have not seen or with a voice I have never heard, I would still know it's her. Centuries apart and I would still recognize her presence anywhere. Through the stars and moon, through every shooting star, there would always be a pulse between her and I. I lower my hand to her throat, tightening it, smashing her to the wall.

"Where is Celine and who are you!" I shout, losing all my patience at once. A smile grows on her face as she starts laughing looking me straight in the eye.

"I knew you were smart but this, this is impressive," she replies while choking from the minimal breath I am allowing her to breathe. As I stand there a euphonious voice surrounds my ears, screaming for help. I lift my hand from the woman's throat, and she drops to the floor. The man with the red beard runs in, shocked by what is happening. He looks straight at my face, increasing his pace in an attempt to take me down. Before he can lay a finger on me, I knock him out cold with one punch. People baffle me when they think they could put a finger on me without my permission. I grab the woman, threatening her to tell me where Celine is or the next meal she'll have will be from a jail cell. She stares straight into my eyes before she points to the shed under the stairs, which leads to a secret room with not enough space to even think. I turn my head, signalling Kate to go get her while I hold down the woman and tie her to the chair. As Kate runs to get her, I stare at the woman amazed by how similar she looks to Celine.
