Josh's POV
I didn't tell Mads who I had feelings for because they were for her. I don't know why but recently Mads isn't just feeling like a best friend anymore. Ever since Jaden and Nessa cheated on us, I've felt Mads and I getting closer. I know it's cheesy to say but I do really like her.
I opened the car door when we arrived at her house and I'm trying to be distant from Mads so I don't fuck up our friendship. We were arriving at the door and I was about to unlock it but Mads stepped in front of me.
Josh: What?
Mads: What's going on with you?
I panicked in my mind while keeping a straight face in front of Mads. I can't let her find out I like her. I'm not gonna ruin her birthday.
Josh: Nothing's happening, what are you talking about?
Mads: Josh come on, don't be stupid. I know you.
Josh: Can we um- go inside?
Mads looked at me in the eye and she gave me the biggest glare ever and looked pissed as fuck.
Fuck. I can't tell her. That would ruin our friendship of 15 years.
Mads: Fine. Keep secrets from me. But I have a suprise for you later.
Josh: I'm supposed to give you suprises and presents Mads. It's your birthday.
Mads: Well think of it as doing me a favour for my birthday. And it'll be fun.
She punched my shoulder in a teasing way.
Josh: Sure, if it makes you happy.
She grabbed her key out of her spandex shorts and unlocked the door. Damn she looked nice in those shorts. UGH! Snap out of it Josh! She's your best friend!
As we entered the door, I froze for a second and followed her back in. I wide eyed when I was in my thoughts and she turned around and crossed her arms on her chest and frowned.
Mads: Ok...just tell me what's bothering you Josh. Your my best friend.
Josh: Nothing's wrong. Go get dressed.
I fake smiled.
Mads: Ok...
Mads ran upstairs and looked pissed. I hope I didn't hurt her feelings. I really never intended too.
Should I tell her?
