Lilith's POV

I turned to my desk and ignored both of my guests, as I worked on how to deal with the day's events and Hell's constant problems.

Third POV

Hiraken played with Acheron in Lilith's office. He made the infant giggle at his tricks with his low-level hellfire. Acheron eventually reached out to grab the fire, making Hiraken panic, but the infant just continued to laugh as his hand touched the fire.

Lilith glanced at the pair and watched as the infant played with the fire excitedly. She was intrigued and summoned a mid-level flame on her finger. She looked at the flame and then at the infant.

She got up from her desk, leaving her plans abandoned. She approached Hiraken and pressed the mid-level flame against his neck. The demon stayed as still as he could, but due to his promotional rank being a newer addition to his powers, he could still feel a slight sting as the flame touched his skin. The fire didn't burn his flesh, but the nerves still reacted to the sensation of warmth and pain.

Lilith finally let go after a moment. She turned to the child and noticed it was staring at her flame rather than Hiraken's larger, but weaker one.

She brought her finger carefully towards the child. Acheron watched the flame but did not try to touch it. His instincts obviously perceive it as a danger at the current time.

Lilith made the flame change shape into a flower, and Acheron clapped with a toothy smile.

The flame changed again, this time into an animal, a bunny that hopped around her finger.

Acheron followed the movement with his eyes. Hiraken finally calmed down after the pain and extinguished his low-level flame after realizing the child was no longer interested in it.

Lilith's flame changed again, a man of flame stood in front of her finger. The flame produced made a scene of another flame man sneaking up behind the first. The second flame attacked the first, and the result was a flaming sword fight between the two figures.

Acheron smiled, clapped, and cooed as he watched the scene play out. The figure fought until they inevitably crashed into each other and were extinguished in a clash of light.

Acheron was really happy. Lilith felt a small smirk appear on her lips, she felt a small amount of pride enter her. The child may be troubled, but maybe it would be alright. She at least thought she could annoy Lucifer by trying to get the child to like her more than him.

Acheron grabbed Hiraken's hand and brought it up to his face. Acheron tapped Hiraken's and until finally Hiraken produced a low-level ball of flame. Acheron grabbed the flame and it transferred to his own hands.

The two demons watched as the infant squeezed the flame between his hands. He pulled, squished, and modeled it until it resembled a sword. He smile and showed it happily to the two.

Hiraken was worried about the new development, whereas Lilith was happy to have shown him how to model hellfire. She petted his head softly with a small, genuine smile. She was obviously going to rub it in Lucifer's face that she was able to teach the boy when Lucifer was away, but -for now- she was just a bit proud of the little boy in front of her who was smiling widely and marveling at his tiny sword of flame.
