Warning: written by a sad UwU author!

It was the last day. She tried to remember last year when it was the last day. It was so much fun, it made her sad to say goodbye to her friend, Ava but she was coming back with the rest of her class for 8th grade.

Now it was the end of 8th grade. This year had been the worst but she had hung out with many new people and had had the best time with her friends. Everyone had been depressed this year unlike last year and they had a crusty teacher. She had seen her old teacher for 7th grade who had been the best teacher on the planet called Earth. This all brought back many feelings inside of her and she wanted to cry but she had no tears.

She had had a half day and everyone had gone to the park across the street. She walked over with her friends. Her ex-bestie and girlfriend hung back with her.

"hey Mags, thanks for being my best friend for all these years. It was fun and I hope you make a lot of friends in your new school," she said. Margaret wanted to cry. She hadn't been able to restore their friendship after they broke up but she was happy that they could leave on good terms.

"I loved being your friend and I hope you are more friends in high school," Margaret replied. She looked at her and smiled. This was a great beginning to a new summer. But they were still walking to the park. Margaret tripped once and everyone had a good laugh. They talked and ate their lunch at the park. Many people were leaving this year to go to public school. Margaret was leaving this time as well and it was all sad for her.

"Hey, we're all gonna miss you, Mags!" Bella P. Said while hugging Margaret. No one cried but they all felt like crying inside.

Margaret had signed every yearbook of the people she knew and they had signed hers. The nice notes they left warmed Margaret's heart. She had to leave early so she hugged everyone and made sure that they would still keep in touch. With her two closest friends in the group, Ivana and Bella, she told them that they should all have a dying party to dye her hair purple again. They agreed.

Margaret left with a bittersweet feeling in her heart. These intense feelings were one of the only things that reminded her she was alive. She had a good memory when it came to people she grew close to so she knew she would never forget these wonderful people in her life.

On her way home she and her siblings got some drinks from a small coffee shop called Norby's. When Margaret got home she made a playlist on Spotify that turned out to be almost 2 hours long. She listened to it while she thought about all the things she had done this year. Her brother was having his birthday dinner that night so at least she would see some of her friends who were also her brother's friends.

She was most sad about leaving all her friends behind but she left for good reasons. She had decided to leave in December. She missed them all the second she left the school grounds. Some of the things she had done she deeply regretted but she was ready to move past this life and make a new one for herself.

Friends were the only thing that got her through the year and she was happy to have made this awesome family with her class and some of the other older classes as well. All things said she was ready for summer while also being sad about never seeing her friends twice a week every week... And starting summer earlier than public schools.

A/n: Okay, so I was listening to the playlist I made earlier and I was sobbing as well. This marks the end of the fanfics I wrote in school... At least at my old school! I am now moving on to public school and I am very thankful for all my friends and ex-friends who helped me out the past 3 years since I moved to that school. Make sure to appreciate the friends you have even if they don't last forever. Have a good life and summer! (I will probably be updating less during the summer bc I am busy).
