You were standing by the bar section, getting ready to order your go-to drink while your friends were jamming away on the dance floor. You stood there waiting as the bartender entertained everyone with his quirk. You couldn't help but be amazed at the fine establishment and how they appeared to hire the appropriate people whose quirks suited the roles they were engaging in at the event. You couldn't help but notices the crowd enjoying themselves. However, one particular individual caught your eye.

You noticed Bakugo talking to another female away from the crowds. You were curious about their conversations, and many questions consumed your thoughts. You were spiraling with many negative distortions that your eyes began to glow red out of jealousy until you felt a light tap that snapped you out of the trance. You turned your attention to the unknown individual, standing there silently, waiting for you to notice him.

"Oh yes," you said, finally noticing that it was none other than your old friend, Izuku Midoriya, who had emerged from the shadows. His fluffy dark-green hair was unmistakable, and you couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the sight of him.

"I thought that was you! How are you, Ren?" he asked, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"OMG, DEKU!!!!" you exclaimed, quickly embracing him with a bear hug, nearly squeezing the life out of his body. Loosening your grip, Izuku lifted and spun you around, just like he used to do back in UA. "I see you are still stronger than ever. I also see the predecessor around you, so I'm sure that they are taken care of you," you said, referring to the energy source you could see around Izuku's body, thanks to your minor connection with One For All during UA High battle royal training.

"Geez, I forget that you know about One For All sometimes. It was hard keeping that a secret," Midoriya replied, feeling a little embarrassed that he had tried so hard to hide it.

"Honestly, it's kinda creepy that I can sometimes see their energy source around your body. You're never alone, and people are constantly around you," you said, showing concern.

"You'll get used to it," Deku said with a laugh, trying to shake off the feeling of discomfort that his words had stirred up.

"Yeaaa, I don't think I ever will," you said, slightly giggling at the commentary. "But hey, let's catch up. It's been too long."

You and Izuku spent the next few minutes chatting and laughing, reminiscing about old times and catching up on each other's lives. Being around someone who knew you well and could make you feel at ease with just a few words was refreshing. As you talked, you couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Izuku. He had always been a good friend to you, and he had been there for you during and after you had left UA and moved to America. It was comforting to know that you could always count on him, no matter what.

"Have you talked to Kacchan?" Deku curiously asked.

You hesitated before replying. "No, I haven't. It's been difficult to work up the courage, to be honest."

"I understand," Izuku said. "But you know, I think it's important to try and work things out. You and Kacchan were so close back at UA. It's a shame to see that kinda bond slip away."

You nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it really is. It's just that...things didn't turn out how we expected. Our dreams and goals started to diverge, straining our relationship."

"I see," Izuku said thoughtfully. "Well, I can tell you that Kacchan has really missed you since you left for America. He's not the same without you."

You felt a pang of guilt in your chest. "I miss him too, but I don't know if we can ever go back to the way things were."
