The dust has settled around the villain's attack, and news reports (left and right) are eager to interview the American hero for your unexpected return to Japan. H/N, H/N one reporter shouted as he attempted to beat the other reporters out for the first exclusive. "Amazing work taking down the fiend! We are glad you came in at the nick of time. What brought you back to Japan?" Other news journalists reiterated the exact phrase as your ears tingled from the endless chatter and flashes of light ignited around your view.

You're still not used to being in the public eye. As a result, you slowly backed away from the press, gently moving the citizens with your quirk, "I'm just passing by. That's all. I'm glad my Japan Hero License is still active so that I could aid my fellow heroes." You kept it short and sweet, understanding that you really can't give much away about why you returned to Japan. You were still bound by confidentiality, and any potential leak may result in punishment by the US officials. Only the WHA is allowed to reveal any knowledge to the masses.

"All right, all right. Make some room, everyone. Our lovely American Hero didn't come to Japan for more work." Hawks stepped towards the scene as he casually waved his hands from side to side, trying to pass through the reporters.

You graciously showed a slight grin, subliminally thanking your former boss man for the rescue. Whispering out the words "thank you" to the prominent hero. However, a particular news reporter saw your initial reaction and hustled in your direction again. "Hey, hey!" The correspondent stated with a fierce, aggressive tone as he propelled through the crowd. "Are you exclusive with Hawks? Are you dating?"

"Huh?! What?!" Astonished by the sudden statement, you froze briefly, then promptly replied. "No. He was my mentor, you ...."

"Now, people." Hawks interrupted smoothly as he quickly migrated alongside your body. "This young hero was my protégé; as much as you all respect me, my time, and space, I ask that you do the same for her. Got it?" Keigo promotes his carefree and upbeat attitude by using his fierce wings to pave the way out of the media's range. "Come on, come on, let the lady through. Don't be an asshole now."

"Thank you. You know how to get me out of these media ambushes, don't you?" you bumped your shoulders into the pro hero's slim build figure, causing him to chuckle to himself momentarily.

"What kinda mentor would I be if I didn't know my student." Hawks return to physical touch as you approach the remaining heroes in the field.

"A terrible one, that's for sure," Your eyes were fixated on the road before you slightly rolled them and even let out some laughter. "HEY! I'm not a student anymore."

"I know, I know, little songbird. I'm just pulling your leg. Let's grab dinner or lunch one day with Tokoyami too! Just like old times." The number two hero walked backward, never leaving his gaze as he maintained his focus in your direction.

"Uhmm, I don't know..." You stumble over your words, trying to decline the invitation. However, Hawks cut your off before you would finish your comments.

"Great! I'll create a group chat and text you the time and place," Hawks shout out once more before redirecting his attention to the OG heroes like Endeavor and Mirio.

"Of course. It's a date-ish." You replied, waving your hand while chuckling at the idea that you couldn't say no to him.

Meanwhile, pinky was lurking on the sideline as she was in awe of the interaction with you and Hawks. "Ohh, look at you. Someone has a date, hmm?" Mina migrated towards your vicinity as she smiled like she knew everything.

"Bitchhh, now you know he was my old mentor." You pounce back as you gently push your friend aside.

"SO THE FUCK WHAT!" Mina shot back with a persistent tone. "He's too fine; I can tell you that."
