" Mother I'm back!" Alastor called, shutting the door behind Y/n. She stepped into the home, staring and admiring the house and it's decorations.

"Oh good! I've been waiting on those peppers!" She called from the kitchen. The smell of the food was floating through the home and Y/n felt her mouth water a bit at the smell. It smelled delicious.

"This home sure doesn't look nice." Y/n said, as Alastor gestured to her jacket, which he helped her take off. He smiled and nodded, hanging it up on a nearby coat rack.

"Well, thank you. I'm sure my mother would be pleased to know she did a nice job." He said, as he took his own coat off. Multiple framed photos hung on the walls, as well as other items. Some were trophy's, others were weapons, for some odd reason.

"Is this you?" Y/n asked, pointing to a frame on the wall. It's a picture of a small boy, with food in his mouth, a large smile on his face, eyes wide. Alastor laughs shaking his head.

"Yes actually it is." He says, before his hand reaches towards her lower back, ushering her i to the kitchen down the hall. " I'm sure mother would love to see you. After your visits." He whispered, before Y/n looked at him wide eyed. He simply smiled, fixing her hair.

" How did you-"

"My mother is horrible at hiding things. You cant tell?" He asked, before Y/n felt a smile etch itself onto her face. He wasn't wrong. The two stepped into the kitchen, Alastor moving past Y/n to set the peppers onto the counter. Y/n smiled as she saw how well Alastor took care of his mother. She knew she could never be upset with him forever. It didn't mean she'd forgiven him entirely, just a little less upset.

"Oh thank you honey, oh-" Helen said, as she turned to see Y/n standing awkwardly in the doorway. " Y/n? Was it? What brings you by?" Helen laughed, ignoring the way Alastor grinned behind her.

"Helen he already knows." Y/n said with a laugh, before Helen chuckled too, turning back around the face Alastor.

" Mother really, when are you going to stop hiding things from me?" He asked, before taking a pepper out of it's bag, cutting some of it.

" Honey you never told me about her. How was I supposed to tell you something not even I knew about." She said shaking her head as she grabbed the other pepper, along with a knife. " Besides, it only took me seeing her store for you to finally talk to her." Helen said with a laugh before turning to Y/n, pepper and knife still in hand. " Can you believe even after we left your shop that day he still did not tell me about you two?" Helen said before Y/n laughed, pulling a nearby stool to sit in the small kitchen next to the counter.

" Did you plan on keeping me hidden this entire time?" Y/n asked with a smile before Alastor shook his head, now turning around as well, leaning on the counter as he pulled seeds out of the pepper.

" Now now, let's not forget you were mad at me." He said, giving her that look, the one that always made sure he was right. She rolled her eyes before standing up to look at the frame in the kitchen.

" Well it is you're fault I'm upset, is it not?" She asked before he laughed and turned back around to slice up the pepper. His mother had finished hers quick, taking the pepper out of her sons hand.

" Al, wash up and give her a tour. I never showed her your room." Helen said as she wiggled her eyebrows. Alastor shook his head before nodding, moving over to the kitchen sink to rinse his hands.

"Alright fine, but only because I need to finish this conversation." He said before dying his hands off with a rag. He walked over to where Y/n was, a small corner in the kitchen staring at the frame on the wall. She was admiring it, looking at everyone in the photo. Alastor reached for it over her, pulling it down. Before she could say anything, he pulled her by her hand and led her out of the kitchen, calling out to his mother. "Call for me if you need me." He said to her, only to see her wave her hands at him to just go.
