MAYA’S POV: -
A few drops of tears escaped from both my eyes when he tied knot of mangal sutra around my neck. I can’t figure whether they are happy or sad tears. I looked up and saw a beautiful smile on his face which made me smile forgetting all the fears. I am Mrs. Maya rishi Kumar, and this is my story.
It has been three months since we got married. It was raining slightly, when I was out after taking a peaceful shower after a hectic schedule. I was engulfed in a bear hug by my dear hubby. I can feel his heartbeat and warm breath. Tears rolled out of his face due to happiness as he was assigned to the most crucial project by a topmost company. It was like a dream come true movement for him. He had been trying for it for 5 years.Our whole family was whirled with happiness. After enjoying a superb meal with a lot of memories shared among us, we retired to our room. I have been eagerly waiting for my best friend’s call to share the good news that I was moving closer to them. Our room was filled with silence except for the sound of rain droplets and sound of keyboard typing. I was out of my senses thinking about my first hug, a smooth ringtone distracted my thoughts. It was my friend’s call for which I have been waiting for. Once I lifted the call, she shouted saying, “why are you blushing”. At the same time my husband came and sat beside me and greeted my friends, and we shared good news with them. They were so excited and happy than me. He gave me Bluetooth and let me talk to my friends and was off to work. I had a long conversation with them about what to do, where to go and so on. It was the next morning my mother-in-law (Vani) asked us when we were going to the U.S. We told her about our plan that my husband will be going first, after he gets settled, I will go to him. She told us to change our plans.
