   Maya’s pov:-

I was waiting patiently for the result, I was really hell nervous.

       If it is negative or positive. If it is positive will Rishi accept, was he ready for kids, will I be a good mother, will our kids be healthy, will I be able to take good care of them. Many questions are running in my mind. I was waiting for Diya to tell something, I closed my eyes and crossed my fingers 🤞.

        DIYA:-“ di, congratulations our pregnant, your going to become mom and me pinni, I am so happy and excited.”

   I was crying continuously, I don’t know whether they are happy tears or not. I was unable to say anything, Diya hugged me tightly and brought me to reality.
I hugged her tightly and cried happily. I am going to be a mother, I am going to be a mother these words are repeating in my mind.

       Maya:-“ chotti, I am pregnant, I am going to be a mother…. I am going to be a mother…...”    I told her weeping.

      Diya:-“ ha di but we need to go to the hospital. We can’t rely on these kits. I will call my friend she is a gynecologist and I will book an appointment for tomorrow morning."

      Maya:-“ ok, but don’t tell anyone. This Saturday is our first anniversary, I will give your jiju a surprise and we will tell you all at once."

          I told her, she nodded her head in assurance. Then we had our breakfast by that time everyone reached home.

Next morning:-

    Today is Monday, my first at work. It’s not like I was going the first time, but I had a gut feeling that something was not good. I woke up early, did my morning chores, got ready and went down to prepare breakfast. But I was surprised by the view in front of me.

  My husband was making breakfast along with my mother in law and my mother.

    Maya:-“ guys what’s going on, Rishi you and cooking, you never helped or entered the kitchen back in the U.S now our preparing food ,this is not fair.”

        Rishi:- “ my drama queen, today is Your first day to work I don’t want you to be late. So I am preparing food. Now stop your drama and come eat are you not getting late ?”

     Maya:-“ kk if you say so, I accept. Rishiii I had a small request, will you accept.” I asked him, showing my most innocent face and puppy eyes ( it always gets to work with anyone 😉, what do you say.)

  Rishi:- “ ok tell me, if I feel it has no problem I will accept, and stop making those faces .”

    Maya:-“ hehe 😀, thanks, actually I don’t want anyone in the company to know about our marriage. So…..so…. Can we keep it a secret for some time.” I told him the last lines in one go and closed my eyes to hear his reaction as I was unable to see his face.

     Rishi:-“ kk, as you wish my cute panda. Care to you please explain me why so ?”

      Maya:- “ oh, that I don’t want others to think I got this job because I am your wife. So pleaseeee.” I asked him by showing my shield puppy eyes. Guess what it worked as always.

       Rishi:-“ ok l will agree, but I have a condition, if anyone I mean anyone tries to harm or misbehave with you, I will not hesitate to reveal our relationship in front of all. If you agree I am ok with it .”

       He said and I agreed immediately without a second thought. I had my breakfast and literally ran out as I am getting late and I don’t want to be late on my first day.

At Malhotra lab’s:-

         Thank God it’s 9:45 I still had 15 minutes left. I was walking watching my mobile and bumped into someone at the entrance. I lost my balance and about to fall but some one caught me on time. I was about to shout that person, but no words came out of my mouth. I was trembling and about to fall, Rishi came at the same time and caught me. I was sweating profusely and unable to react to anything.



        “Why him after this long time.”  This was all running in my mind.
