Saruto | The Celestial War (Part 2)

Chapter 20: With A Devastating Blow...

"Naruto!" Sasuke yelled pointing to Kaushiki who activated his Blue Rinne-Sharingan.

We look on in horror as Kaushiki levitates into the air. Holding against a meteor-like white chakra sphere above his head.

The Shinobi Alliance looked up to see the mass of power, scared for what came next. He then releases it.

"Take cover!" I yell to the shinobi in the crater, and they run off to take cover.

Like fireballs infused with white chakra, he launches projectiles taken from the meteor at the ground below him. I watch in horror as the ground levels and strikes masses of shinobi, some killing instantly.

Available shinobi from different villages use their specialized jutsu to try and slow the barrage of white chakra fireballs that rained from the sky. Seeing that ineffectiveness that it has, I create thousands of clones of myself that throw themselves in front of the shinobi, taking the blow.

With every shadow clone connecting with the barrage, they disappear. Suddenly my eyes widened to feel the pain on the white chakra poison that was in the bodies of my clones. As I felt the white chakra fill my bloodstream, my knees grow weak.

"Argh!" I winced in pain, dropping to my knees.

"Naruto!" Sasuke calls out.

With my vision blurring, I feel my body begin to succumb to the poison with every shadow clone dissipating.

"Release the jutsu now!" Sasuke erratically speaks into my ears.

Gritting my teeth, I hold my jutsu as each shadow clone sacrifices itself to withstand the barrage of white chakra fireballs.

"Naruto! Release it now!" Sasuke pleads as he shakes my shoulders.

Smiling, I held my hand signals as I looked down at the lives I saved in the crater.

"Naruto-"

"No, I can't," I croaked.

Shocked, Sasuke releases his hand from my shoulder. Looking at me like I was crazy, I looked back up to him.

"Not until every shinobi is saved," I remarked.

Suddenly, I whistle rings through the air, and we look up to see Kaushiki launching the mass of the meteor down from the sky.

Feeling his hand brush against my skin, Sasuke then uses the absorbed chakra from body, Sasuke creates a longbow and arrow that are infused with his own lightning-natured chakra.

As the luminescent glow of blue lighting and then a white chakra, I realized what he was doing. Struggling to pull Indra's arrow back, succumbing to the white chakra, he shook as his body weakened.

Suddenly, I felt light in my body as opposed to the white-chakra's devastating weight, I whipped my head around to see Saruto with his eyes closed a few feet away absorbing the white chakra from our bodies.

Glancing up to Kaushiki, I notice him glare at Saruto, realizing what he was doing.

Speeding up the Meteor's velocity, he crashes the meteor down but not before Sasuke releases the arrow from his grasp.

With the white chakra leaving his body, Sasuke puts his whole might into the attack. Whistling through the air, the arrow connects with the meteor shattering it. It proves to be extremely powerful, able to match the meteor's destructive weight, with the help of Saruto's infused chaos chakra. Suddenly, I gritted my teeth to see the debris of the meteor begin to train down on the Shinobi Alliance

From the corner of my eyes, I see Saruto move his hand through the air and absorb the falling debris. He begins to wince, annoyed, as he attracts the falling debris back into his body. Sasuke and I watch as his body begins to glow white with the absorbed white chakra.

As the dust clears, we look at the Shinobi Alliance to see that we were too late to save half of the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Divisions. Kaushiki's attack had devastated the numbers of the Shinobi Alliance.

Saruto then drops to the ground, defeated with himself.

Kaushiki then laughs, echoing through the crater before activating his Blue Rinne-Sharingan again. Was he going to enact a second devastating blow to our troops? Could we withstand it? But Saruto was weakened by the masses of white chakra that he had absorbed and held within his body.

Suddenly, Kaushiki gives a look of discomfort as he looks up to a vacant cliff the looked over the battlefield

As the wind begins to flood into the valley of the battlefield we all stand in silence as the Otsutsuki zetsu puppets and followers stare up at a cliff. It seemed as though suddenly the fighting had stopped. With our two sides of the battle, the four divisions and Kaushiki and his forces. Getting to my feet, I stood next to a weakened Saruto and Sasuke and we stared up at the looming light that came from atop of the cliff. As I looked over to Kaushiki upon his perch a few kilometers away, he seemed uneasy about the new presence.

Suddenly we were approached by a Sunagakure communication shinobi who ran over to us. Reaching us he bowed to me.

"Supreme Leader," he bowed, "headquarters has gotten word that Regimental Commander Sarada and Princess Himawari have cleared the coastline and have now arrived at the frontlines with their Third Division."
