As Max and John arrived on the scene, Hiro with Charity came right behind, "Gentlemen, and...John's sister..." Charity let out an ugh "I welcome you all, to casa, de Max!" An acoustic guitar rift is heard.
The two story house is blue, with two windows above it with a purple roof with a white rim, Hiro was awestruck by the view of the house, "Such impressive craftsmanship, Maxamillion!" "Thanks, yeah; you're gonna love it when you get in!" "I cannot hold my excitement any longer!" Hiro said.
Hiro opened the door excitedly, a woman named Happy Peach Flower was dusting a vase in the hallway, but when she saw the door opening she came running out and pounced on top of Hiro "OH MAX!" She said, rubbing her cheeks onto his "Oh! I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH! I...." She suddenly stopped, something extremely off his skin didn't feel like Max's.
She looked towards him and screamed in horror "YOU ARE NOT MAX!!!" She then proceeded to hold Hiro by the collar "Where is my boyfriend?" She said angrily "WHERE IS HE?" Happy shakes Hiro extremely violently, her eyes white in anger with teeth sharpened.
Max quickly came to Hiro's aid, as in he just stood aside and simply said "hey, honeeeyyy?" Trying to signal her. Until he said screw it and yelled "WILL YOU GET YOUR PAWS OFF HIM YOU MUTT?" Now THAT, got her attention.
"Max!" Happy said eagerly, she had her arms open for a hug and and max did the same before getting slapped "DON'T YOU EVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!" Before hugging him again.
Max quickly dismissed it "Alright everybody, follow me!" Max said as he signaled them to follow them, "the best summer ever begins!"John and Charity looked at eachother with grimaced faces.
John wanted to make things less awkward and get on her good side, so he tried to make small talk. "So, uh..what do you two do for fun?" "oh, Maxie-poo has this game where we see who can stay the longest in his closet at night, and I always win!" "Uh huh...really" John replied suspiciously,Charity overheard them, and was a little perplexed by that "game".
"Well that's totally not creepy" she remarked. As they walked towards Max's room, Happy Peach glared at her angrily with John noticing this but was a little anxious about saying the wrong thing.
As Max opened the door, everyone was greeted to a dirty room with a plethora of Happy Peach Flower figures, posters, and even a body pillow.
"Alright, then~" Max said trying to act suave, "Welcome to coolsville everyone; population, us!" Charity whispered something under her breath"More like dorksv-" John bumped her shoulder, and glared at her and side eyed towards Happy Peach Flower "you might not want to make fun of max, especially when she's around", with what she did to Hiro, who was pretty powerful himself, god knows what she may do to charity.
"So, uh, Max...what do we even do?" Charity said, trying make small talk with whatever words would describe how much of a dork Max was.
"Uhm, well I was thinking, me and John would..just hang out and play some video games" max said, awkwardly. "Games?" Hiro questioned, "But with you here, it's kind of awkward", Charity simply rolled her eyes.
"Maxamillion, what games are we participating in?" Hiro said curiously, "would it be a test of whits? Battle a centaur to death in an arena? Musical chairs?" "What? No, like su-wait you have musical chairs in Karuta?"
Of course her and John were much more interested in trying to figure out what to do with Hiro, and Charity was a little curious about Happy Peach's situation with hiding in the closet. As Hiro explained the surprisingly deep lore regarding Karutan musical chairs, Charity whispered to her brother's ear.
"psst, john" "yeah char?" John responded "Mind asking Max about hiding this random girl in his closet?" "Well that's his girlfriend" "his WHAT!?" Charity was shocked but quickly focused back on the topic clearing her throat "look, you think you could ask Max about his...girlfriend in his closet?" Charity still wasn't used to the idea, or really into it with the whole closet thing.
"Couldn't you ask him yourself char?" John asked, "I-" Charity was gonna say something but then looked at Happy Peach fawning over Max who was listening to Hiro go on. "You get along better with Max, just...go on talk to him."
"Ok Charity" John said and then went to talk to Hiro,
"Hey Hiro" John interrupted, as Hiro looked directly told him "Yes, host brother?" "How you..go talk to happy peach flower, I gotta go talk to Max about something, something" Hiro nodded his head in agreement.
"Hey, Max?" John asked hesitantly "can I..talk to you, for a second?" He said as he pushed him aside "sure man, what's up?" Max asked "What's that...whole thing, with y'know that "game" you and her play?" Max responded "Who? happy peach flower?" "Yes!" "Oh, that's a little game we play" max said nonchalantly.
"Max!" John yelled "what?" Max replied irritatedly, "So you mind explains that whole thing" "okay fiinnee, I may have...not...well...sorta" "Max, you're a horrible liar. We both know this" John replied bluntly "ugh fine!" Max was ready to tell the truth "Look I may have...told my parents..not about her" "you haven't??" John thought he did "Well what do you want me to say? That a girl from a fictitious card game, who I've become obsessed with since the age of 5 came to life!" "Well, after yesterday I doubt it's going to shock them!" John rebuttaled. "You don't know my family like I do! They'll freak!" Max yelled
"Well, do you atleast know how we should deal with Hiro? Without...y'know destroying private property" John sarcastically said "we've already got a lawsuit in the making!" Max responded with "How should I know?" "I dunno man! You're the bigger BDZ fan than me!" "Yeah! But not the one who pictures his life with a battle day zero character!" John stares at all the happy peach memorabilia and a picture of him taped next to a happy peach flower poster.
Max noticed his staring, "Look, I don't know what to do either. Hiro"s character writing has been surprisingly consistent throughout the years that battle day zero's been around. It just so happened that he's kind of destructive" "..great" now with that conversation, John's still at square one, with the only difference being that he's in a different location.
Max then realized that Hiro lived with him before, "Look, how did you deal with him beforehand?" "I don't know, he was just outside most of the time training!" Nevermind.
