"Wooaahoww! Who might this be, Sayrii? I didn't know you have a particular someone for your first day!"
"Err... Don't get the wrong idea."
That was her and Chihiro having a sly conversation with each other, as he was scratching his head as he and Sayre walked together towards the table that Hana-chan reserved for us! We all inevitably sat with me sitting beside Hana-chan.
"Oh, apologies for intruding so quickly, I am Chihiro Itō, Sayre's childhood friend apparently," he bows slightly to Hana-chan.
"Woah, quite the manners! I am Hana Ichikawa, Sayre's first friend!"
"Um!" Sayre raised her hand, "Technically, Chihiro is my first friend, so you come second, Hana-chan!"
"Wah?!" she sighs and lowers her head in defeat, "Oh... well he does have a point that he's your childhood friend."
I giggled, "You're also special, Hana-chan! I just call Chihiro simply Chihiro, but not you—you're Hana-chan, not simply Hana!"
"Oh! Well, that's even!"
Her warm smile was brought back to life.
"Oh welly, time to eato!"
I exclaimed as I started festing up on this delicious food in the tray that Hana-chan paid for me.
"Mmhmhm... Speaking of—hey Chihiro, don't you have friends that you usually eat lunch with? I bet they're going crazy with you having lunch with two girls," Hana-chan asked him.
"Not a lot, and they are not present here at the canteen at all. It's the same the other way around; I take a bento here and eat it in the classroom," he replies.
While having this delicious-guacamole of a meal this is and hearing their conversation about how is Chihiro doing being a handsome and well-mannered boy in school, Sayre just knew what was knocking at my head this whole time. Okay, let's review! Two years ago, Sayre was five and me around kids my age are at kindergarten. I can remember that Chihiro said back at the park was attending elementary, but not exactly what grade in elementary. If we fast forward two years which is now... Hmm...
That is something that Sayre doesn't know... yet!
I scramble my hands on the table and stood up, realizing, "Waito! Chihiro, Chihiro! How are you here—in this school? I thought you went to school somewhere else as far as I know!"
Despite all of that fuss Sayre makes, he simply clears his throat and explains, "I should take the question back at you, m'la—Sayre. How are you here?"
"No, how are you here?"
He sighs, "Oh well, if Sayre has coming in her way, there's no way stopping her," speaking at no one. "I transferred here and, well, graduated quite a few levels."
"Wahow! That's what happened to Sayre too!
"Oh? Quite a coincidence I see. Not bad for a homeschooled individual."
"W-w-w-w—hold on." Hana-chan cuts straight to the chase. "Sayre was homeschooled?"
"Mhm, mhm! Mama is the best teacher, Sayre aced all of what she has to offer!"
She looks around her view from Chihiro to Sayre, then for a couple more times, until back at me, "Surely you must've tried going to school before, what grade were you when you last went to school?"
"Me?" Sayre unconsciously points at myself, "Kindergarten, two years ago!"
She went back looking around tenser than it was earlier, "Hold on, hold on! How old are you guys?!"
