All of a sudden everything was dark. There was no light, or anything else. "Why is it so dark here?" Garreth asked, confused.

"Um, because I'm blind from birth? I don't have any visual memories," Ominis said, and I heard him smile.

"Ominis," I heard a harsh and deep voice say, "stop crying. It's your own fault. Why do you bother with such filthy half-bloods?"

"Because we are friends," he said softly. His voice was much higher than it is today. He sounded really sad.

"Friends? Well, we'll see, I heard something different from my dear Perilian. Legilimens!...", apparently this person rummaged through Ominis memories.

"That's my father," the adult Ominis remarked, and I heard his voice tremble a little.

"Friends? You're in love with this half-blood girl? You disgust me so much. Take Perilian, Marvolo and Delphini as an example. Your three siblings are honorable. They keep the blood clean. Stay away from this impure girl, or something will happen. Stick to the de la Lune girl. She's in your class, and at least she's pure-blooded."

We seem to have slipped into the next memory. Ominis snorted. "Perilian, let me go!" he screamed. "CRUCIO!", I heard Ominis father shout.

Ominis cried out. "Stop screaming Ominis. You know you deserve it!" "Please father, please stop." I heard Ominis cry. "A GAUNT DOESN'T BEG! CRUCIO! ... A GAUNT DOESN'T CRY! CRUCIO! ...A GAUNT DOESN'T FALL IN LOVE WITH DIRTY HALF-BLOODS! CRUCIO!"

"Father, I have an idea. Perhaps you shouldn't punish ominis anymore, but the half-blood girl." , I heard someone say. Perilian?

"NO, no, please, keep her out of it.", Ominis pleaded crying desperately, "Please, it's not her fault. Please, please, keep her out of this. Do what you want with me, but please leave her alone."

I heard laughter. A really malicious laugh, followed by another torture curse.

"Perilian, your idea is wonderful. Keep Ominis quiet and then let's do it right now," he said, still laughing.

"Silencio," I heard Perilian whisper. Apparently they apparated, because I suddenly heard a lot of goblins talking. "They live down there in that house.", I heard Perilian say.

"Please don't. Please leave Anne and Sebastian alone.", I heard Omini's thoughts.

"The goblins don't attack my family. They made a trade pact with the goblins. That's why there wasn't a fight," said the adult Ominis. 

"Is what I'm thinking happening there now?" Sebastian asked softly.

I heard voices. A fight? I heard crackling fires. And I heard the younger Sebastian calling for Anne. "Stay here! Let's get help! We can't do it alone, Anne!" Sebastian yelled in despair.

"Fine, we don't even have to look for her.", I heard Ominis father say.

A moment later, I heard Anne scream. And I heard how grown up Ominis and Sebastian were crying.

Another moment later there was silence again and Ominis was released from his silencing charm. "Then let's see how long she can hold out before she dies miserably." "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Ominis yelled. "I gave your lovely little Anne a present. A very special curse. Until she dies one day. If she doesn't put herself out of her torment first."

Memory change. I saw that Ominis appeared to be holding his wand. You couldn't really see anything, but it seemed like at least rough outlines could be seen through the wand.

"Anne? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" I heard Ominis ask. "Nothing, Ominis. Go back to sleep. I was just having a nightmare," Anne said.

"I miss Sebastian.", she said softly, "And I miss Solomon too. How could I kill him, Ominis? Why?", she cried.
