Fall in Tune # 1 - Liam Payne

Chapter 17

Kaye’s POV:

"W-what's my name?" Liam was forcing himself to speak. He’s was on my lap already.

“Damn! Don’t speak Liam James Payne!” I answered that made him smile then he slowly closed his eyes.

"You still know me..."

“No… no… Liam please… wake up! Hey! Your wife will kill me for this…” I saw the car that hit him stopped but then rushed away.

“GODDAMIT!”

I don’t know what to do. I’m already hysterical at that moment which is very not me. I saw Juliene rushing towards us with Louis and Harry ahead her. The two other boys are at the back.

“Oh GOD, spooky….” Harry softly behold while raising his hands up. Juliene and Lou immediately knelt to check Liam.

“He’s hurt. Please let’s bring him to the hospital now!” I said looking at Louis who looks so worried.

“Amblance! Where’s the amblance? Hey!” Harry was shouting. I saw him cupping his face with his palms.

“I left my phone on the restaurant… Ahm.. Niall…” Louis turned to the blonde haired, “… the car…” and the one named Niall nodded and rushed to the direction of the parking area.

Louis tried to raise Liam from my lap.

“Hey no!” Harry yelled that made Louis let go of Liam’s head.

“Why the hell Harry?” I asked him who looks so afraid.

“Don’t make him move. Maybe he got some injuries or… no don’t touch him Lou,.”

“STYLES!!!!” Juliene cut Harry that made him shut up!

“Ok fine! Lou… touch him! But be careful…” Harry knelt down too and helped Louis to raise Liam. Niall immediately came and we all went to the hospital. Me, Lou, and Harry are with Liam while Juliene was with Zayn.

“Don’t worry, Kaye…  he’ll be fine… ”

I just nodded to Harry. I’m feeling numb. I don’t think it’s Liam who’s the walking disaster… It’s me and he’s always there to… to save me… why the hell! Maybe that was already fine that I’m away. Why did I ever decided to come back?

Harry was staring at Liam while Louis was closing his eyes and his palms were locked. What’s with this lads? I could really feel that strange connection between them. Something so deep…

I took a deep breath. I don’t know what the hell I’ll do and I don’t care. I held Liam’s hand and put it on my lips. Louis looked at me first, a bit surprised but then he and gave me a “don’t worry” smile.

Won’t he tell me to stop because I was so gross and with the fact that Liam has already got a  wife? Wait… if I wasn’t wrong he’s only 19. Maybe not wife, still fiance.

“What’s wrong?” Louis broke that made me realize that I was just staring at him..

“Ahm.. a.. n-nothing…” I put down Liam’s hand but stil holding it. I just gave Lou a wry smile.

As we arrived at the hospital  Liam was immediately brought to the ER. Remembering that scene where he saves me, makes me weak.  All I want now is to go home.

“I-I’m going…”

Harry turned to me, “But, we hadn’t get the result yet…  we don’t know if Liam’s fine…”

“I-I can’t…” I looked down. I can’t bear to see Liam hurt.

“Kaye… just this time please? Be with him…”

“But he already got---”

I turned to the running steps from the hallway. I saw Zayn running with a girl whom I saw at the restaurant just  a while ago. And where the hell is Juliene?

“How’s Liam?” Zayn asked catching his breath. The worry in his voice was very obvious. The lads answered Zayn except Lou who’s only staring at him.

"Don't know yet. I hope he's fine. Where's Paul?" that was Harry.

"Checking the security. Good thing nobody saw you coming here..." Zayn answered and Harry just nodded.

I took few steps away from them.

“Miss Kaye?” I faced the one who called me.

“Ahm, hey…” I smiled at her.. She’s really familiar. I just can’t figure out where I have seen her.

“It’s me… Connie…” She reached her hand. Of course, I received it, “… I know this isn’t the time for this but… I’m glad to see you again. I just didn’t expect that it will be in this situation…”

Right! This is Connie, the young photographer. She attended my exhibit in France and she’s just my age.

“It’s fine, Connie… Nice to see you again. I never thought that you know the boys…”

“Unfortunately…” she chuckled softly, “… and guess what? Liam asked me a copy of the photo of your painting…”

“H-he saw my paintings?”

“Yep! And his favorite was my favorite too… After seeing the photo, he asked a lot of questions about you and I guess, I already know the reason why…”

She grinned, “He even mentioned going to France…” that made me look at her and now she’s smiling with teasing eyes.

“Well? M-maybe he has something…”

“You are the reason miss Kaye…” she cut me.

“But why?”

Connie just shrugged, “You both knew the reason why…”

I can’t understand what she’s talking about. She smiled again to me and clicked her camera.

“Lovely.” She said looking at the shot then turned to me, “No doubt why Liam fancy you…” then she walked away.

She sat on Louis side and took a stolen shot of him.

Crazy girl.

Juliene was not yet there. I took a glance on the boys. They are all tired.

I’m already on the main corridor when a young lady who’s holdind a baby girl was running towards the direction where I came from. The young lady was beautiful and the baby girl was so cute. I just followed them with my gaze until they turn to the corridor where Liam’s room was located.

I took again a deep breath, “Liam…”
