*3rd person's POV*
"She will be there," Yamato was the one to say. Kakashi wanted to roll his eyes, but he couldn't, instead, he looked away.
"So?" Kakashi asked as if he didn't know they thought he would appear at the party just because (Y/n) would attend as well...
"C'mon, Kakashi," it was Asuma this time. He looked at Kakashi, almost with understanding in his eyes "We know. Everybody knows. Why don't you want to accept you—" but he cut him off. Just from knowing what he was going to say Kakashi's whole face burned red.
"Just, stop already," the silver-haired sighed. They were always the same, always nagging him with her... He wouldn't mind if she... But she wouldn't so it really bothered him.
They didn't say anything for a while, they just looked at Kakashi, almost with pity in their eyes. Which only bothered him more. Asuma sighed.
"I'm gonna go pay," he said, leaving Yamato and Kakashi alone. The latter didn't even spare him a glance, nor to Yamato. It already was embarrassing to know they probably knew he had feelings for her.
"Asuma is right, Kakashi-sempai," Yamato said softly, making Kakashi look at him from the corner of his eyes "I don't understand why you won't accept your feelings"
Even if he had said it softly, innocently, and with good intentions, it still made his body burn in embarrassment and annoyance. But he was right, and Kakashi couldn't deny it. He rubbed his eyes, actually tired of feeling like this, of always avoiding and ignoring his heart for (Y/n)'s, and also his sake.
"She just makes me so happy... I don't want to mess it up," he explained vaguely.
"Why do you think you'll mess it up?" Yamato asked after a few seconds. Kakashi looked away again.
"I always mess it up," he said almost in a whisper.
After that, each went to their own home. And although they didn't insist anymore on either (Y/n) or the party, they weren't surprised at all to see him there when the time arrived. Just like nobody was surprised when he simply sat somewhere somewhat secluded without quite interacting with anyone. At least until (Y/n) finally appeared.
"I thought you wouldn't come!" she greeted him, sounding too happy to be sober. Which could be easily noticed anyway by the glass of spirits she held. She sat next to him on the couch, and some other people that were with her sat around too, continuing with their conversation.
"I had nothing else to do," Kakashi answered, closing his book and keeping it away. It suddenly didn't seem interesting with her by his side. She smiled, nodded, and answered something that a friend of hers was asking.
She didn't quite say anything else to him for a while since she was having an effusive talk with the other people. In fact, hadn't it been her, Kakashi would have left a very long while ago, bothered by the squeals and loudness of the rest. But he didn't, even if he didn't talk with anyone else either. He was just happy to be around her.
He couldn't stop looking at her, at her reddened cheeks and slightly messy (h/c) hair. She was just too beautiful, and he wasn't hiding his shameless stare at all. She knew he was looking at her very intently, and it made her smile. It always did, because she liked to feel his eyes on her whenever she wasn't looking.

DREAMS - [Kakashi x Reader One-shots]
FanfictionAs the title says, this is a compilation of stories about Kakashi, either one-shots or stories that I believed were too short to have a book of their own (like the rest of my Kakashi books). More info about how the book works in the 1st chapter.
