Kakashi's POV

As soon as I left the small plate with tuna on the floor, the cat started eating it in a rush. I crouched in front of it, looking at it. I had never seen a cat quite like that. Whereas I knew most breeds of dogs and everything about them, I had no idea about how cats worked. But from what I had seen, this cat looked nothing like any other. For starters, it looked similar to a Siamese but with (h/c) fur and (e/c) eyes. And then, I thought cats were always wary and distant, and this one hadn't stopped complaining every time I tried to push it away or even leave it outside my place.

A meowl took me out of my thoughts. I looked down only to see it had already finished its food. Then it came closer to me and stood on its back paws, leaning on my knees as it stared at my face.

"Meow?" it did again.

I couldn't help but look at its big (e/c) eyes. And when it meowed softly my hand went to the side of its head on my own. The cat closed its eyes as I petted it, meowing softly one more time.

"I guess you're kinda cute..." I mumbled to myself, a bit disappointed in my own words. Funnily enough, after I said that the cat started licking my hand, which made me grimace at first when I felt the roughness of its tongue compared to a dog's tongue. But when the cat started purring I forgot about it.

I stood up, and the cat opened its eyes wide, taken aback my actions. I picked up the plate and was about to go back inside when the cat almost screamed, trying to follow me inside. But I stopped, not letting it, and turned around to look at it. Its eyes seemed to look at me, pleading as it meowled softly one more time, sitting in front of me patiently while waggling its tail.

"Fine..." I sighed, not sure what I was going to do with a cat "But I'm bathing you first," at the last words the cat froze, making me chuckle, but after a while he meowed and ran between my legs.

Surprisingly enough, the cat, that I discovered was a female, didn't even try to run away while I bathed it. However, it didn't look quite pleased when I was rubbing the water on its fur. I couldn't help but giggle at her saddened expression and bony body now that she was all wet.

"You're quite manageable to be a cat," I muttered, earning a sad meow from the cat which made me laugh. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her, drying her, but then she jumped on me, trembling. And although I groaned when it wet me, I wrapped the towel around her so she wouldn't be cold. After all, I was already used to getting completely soaked each time I bathed any of my dogs.

I dried her the best I could and then left her on the floor, looking at her with both hands on my hips as I pondered what to do with a cat. I had never thought of having a cat, they weren't my favorite animals even though I didn't dislike them either. But she didn't seem too keen on separating from me, and I felt bad leaving it on its own.

While I thought about it she sat in front of me, looking at me while waggling its tail as if she knew what I was thinking about. And then, she meowled softly again, as if trying to convince me. So I sighed and left her be while I went to the kitchen to cook something for myself.

At first, the cat followed me around, looking at me and lying at the entrance of the kitchen while I worked, meowing every few minutes. But then she left and I couldn't help but check on her every now and then, afraid she'd break something or get into somewhere I didn't want to like under my bed. Because what if I couldn't take her out of there later? Or if she peed there? Now that I thought about it, I should probably get a litterbox.
