Chapter 39 - Part 4! (The middle of the night)

I woke up in the middle of the night for some reason.
It was really weird, but I shook it off and tried to go back to sleep.
Except..
I just couldn't.
For some odd reason, I was unable to fall sleep.
Something felt wrong, so I went downstairs to go check on Cesar.
I went into the guest bedroom, but couldn't find him still.
I then went into the kitchen.
Bad move.
I felt a presence behind me and as I turned around, I got pushed down.
I looked up to see Cesar.
But.. He looked different..
No...his face..
I quickly backed up until I hid a drawer.
Cesar was an alternate.
I should have trusted Mark.
Mark-
MARK.
How did he know Cesar was an alternate?
He couldn't have possibly-
Cesar started walking closer to me so I looked around for a way to escape but I figured there was no way for me to survive this unless someone was to come and help. Which was probably impossible, considering nobody should be awake at this time.
Cesar's face was all black (Not the skin color y'all know what I'm talking abt), but his eyes weren't covered.
He still had hair, which was slightly messy and covered his other eye.
His hand was black as well, but instead of human fingers, he had claws.
He stopped in front of me before getting ready to attack.
Just as his claws were about to come in contact with my skin, I squinted my eyes shut and waited for the pain.
But it never came.
Why?
I had so many unanswered questions..
My biggest one was..
How did Mark know Cesar was an alternate?
He couldn't have possibly avoided an alternate attack...right..?
No, he has to be alive... I'm sure he is!

..Right?
